After 10000 Km's , the wind noise is a non-issue for me - it has either vanished , or I fail to notice it any more :)

Hi Desigan. I would recommend against damping of firewall area. I am not sure about the glue holding well near the engine compartment because of the temperature in the engine compartment.

Forget firewall, the extent to which people are getting their cars damped can be seen below (But will these cars get back factory fitting without any rattles?):

  3. Stuffing A piller with some closed cell foam will help,as paadleshifter said big no to firewall dampening.

Guys, there is no exact solution to the wind noise as it is precisely from the flimsy OVRMs. Nothing much can be done other than wrapping the OVRM body with those electrical tapes and giving your car shabby ears.
Just deal with it as everyone has. Listen to music while driving and chill !!

I came across one other product (Indian made) similar to Dynamite / Noise Kill. This company is based out of GOA, I just had a short conversation with the manager over there. As per him this product quality is same as Dynamite but cost is less. I hv been provided with dealer no. for further details. Let me speak to him and understand the product.

BaassFX for Speaker Enclosure, Subwoofer Enclosure, Parcel Tray, Damper Mat, Spacers, Amp Board & Cables and Demo Racks

If someone has already evaluated this product, please share the feedback…..

Hi desigan. You have got quite a lot of damping done.

Dampmat is an excellent product and I am using the same.

So howz the experience? I guess your car must be as silent as a Mercedes S class from the inside. :)

Hope there were no issues in fixing back the car to normal.

Hi Paddleshifter, I got the car delivered this morning. Overall I found the external noise level has drastically reduced. With the music is on, I hardly hear any external sound now. Even when I take my car on rough roads, no rattling sound heard. I would say that I am happy for the money what I spent. The workmanship was excellent, no issues noticeable so far. Fingers crossed:p.

@Desigan, so almost every inch is dampened. Must say you are a brave soul. I shall never get the courage to allow someone to rip open my car like that!

Awesome. Will get this done, when I go in for new upholstery and repainting of interior beige trims to black.

    Thanks for sharing.
