@ asimpleson - Truly you have crafted a statement of philosophy in your previous post.
Thanks Ramjn, here is another one you would like.
Adding one more relevant to the topic of elections.
do we have any govt employees here who have been on election duty in the past. perhaps they can share their firsthand experience about how things unfold at polling booths.
Just checked the electoral rolls and saw that my name has been included. But, my wife's name is missing. I don't know why.
Also, came across the top 5 constituencies in TN in terms of number of electorates. Of the 5, 3 are around the Chennai area.
Sriperumbudur - 19,45,969
Chennai south - 17,95,404
Coimbatore - 17,19,733
Tiruvallur - 17,02,114
Salem - 14,97,515
I will be voting in the largest constituency in TN, Sriperumbudur. Voting is on 24th April for the complete 39 constituencies in TN.
3 days to go for the big day in Mumbai/Thane and still havent been able to identify the applicable polling booth. The issue in my case is me and wife's name are in different part no ( and I whole heartedly thank the Election commission for the sameunch) and due to this the polling booths are different too. Will it make any difference if both of us vote at the same booth.
I voted for the fist time in my life !! Felt like God :
Thanks to Nasscom for their initiative, my name came in the list without me going anywhere and that too within 2 months . Kudos.
@Ghodlur - There are more than one part number in booth. Check if both of your part num. are for same booth or not. If not you both can't vote in same booth
I already voted
Yes the part no for both of us are same but the polling stations are shown as seperate. The bad part is there is no one point of contact no if I were to enquire about this.
No provision was made for the handicapped people to vote, shame on ?? unch
Thats bad,, seems like a goof up by EC.. how come same part number can have diff polling booth?
Separate names with a comma.
