15 kmpl is the normal average of todays diesel cars including the Punto linea. Honda painted themselves into a corner by the high claims for their Diesel offering. Their claims were in the Nano category. I guess Hondas claims in future will be taken with a pinch of salt. Totally uncalled for behaviour from Honda.

I saw one amaze in flat bed near saidapet last sunday night. Not sure what the reason.

The average mileage of highly fuel efficient diesel is 17kmpl i hope. Honda is not an exceptional

So here goes the clash of the Titans

Honda Amaze Vs Maruti Dzire | Comparison Test | Autocar India - YouTube

Found it at Bloomberg TV, a Female auto-journalist (with black sunglasses), you know those fluent english speaking MBAs.
She pretends more to be a chick but in the end manages to look like blind & handicapped with those big black sunglasses on her peaky nose.

Some of the findings & comments by this genius mind:ugeek:

She thinks Dezire has more sophisticated interior than Amaze (like Dzhire has sophisticated interiors::pP?)

Amaze wins hands down in the boot dept (YESSSS, Amaze wins here::T!!!).

When comes to driving, you feel the response in amaze as soon as you push the throttle. She slows it down to see and finds 1200 RPM from where the car pulls :clapping(Nice, check further, it may pull from 0 rpm too because i heard that's why an engine is placed in a car. I might be wrong though, it could also be like this that you may have to push till 1200 RPM than jumping through front glass window to takeover driver seat & Amaze starts pulling you here onwards:irked)

Amaze feels more stable than Dezire (Anyways if Dzhire is stable than amaze has to be nothing but more stable, got it:confused:)

Lots of leg room for rear passenger, thanks to Honda's Man Max. Machine Min. philosophy, dashboard is pushed inside with lots of leg room in rear (Honda is ready to design a car exclusively for you where they will bypass the dashboard & you can sit directly on the bonnet. It would help creating two rows behind for passengers with loads of leg room. You can anticipate an accident quicker than anyone-else & jump roadside. Don't worry about those those rear seaters, they deserve to die horribly for all that loads of leg room!!)

Ok dear, your review is over. Pls gather all your dezires and amazements, find some one who can hold your hand and help you escort you to the other end of the road swiftly but safely. No better service to divine creator than helping a handicapped crossing the road.

when i see such idiotic claims by big brands the only think i'm left to wonder is why on this unpeaceful earth does no one file an RTI and get the company to pay for there nonsense.

I remember a few months back GOI had announced that all brands need to sell there cars with a real world mileage sticker. wonder what happened to that idea.
and as for friends who are buying such cars based on mileage alone, thankfully i dont have anyone like that if i did i would just laugh my A$$ out , right in front of them!!

Once one of my senior colleague came with me in my car (owner of Honda City). He simply told that Fiat cars are Fuel guzzlers and then asked me how mileage do I get. I replied 14-16 in City Traffic and on highway if I maintain speed below 100, I would get 20+. He was speechless and did not ask anymore questions.

Lolololol, yes Ram/Imran/Black, that's most disappointing part of it. This was a classical robotic review with a script & currency has the volume here. With all this biasing and false claims, they found this 1.5 ltr Honda engine faster than the FGT by just 0.5 sec in 0-100 sprint. Where it already has higher torque (200 NM @ 1750 RPM) and power (100 bhp, 25 more than FGT DDis/Mjd whatever) with very less weight, where the hell those hp & NM / Ton figures vanish? with 25% more power, Amaze should actually run all over the MJD but it's not the case.

This is what i have been stressing when people gets too obsessed with specification sheets & bhp/ton, it needs more than that. MJD are really class apart and their performance is completely out of skin. Imagine the 2009 Linea with VGT MJD with 16 bhp less & same torque to that of Amaze, i have witnessed Linea screaming past 190 km/hr with 3 more people on board!! It does nothing but proves to OPEN MINDED people what genius Italians are when it comes to DIESELs. We are comparing 9 yrs old 1248 cc pony engine with this latest Honda effort & finds it way ahead in everything, one must be open minded though, world is not what it seems.

It also proves to what length these Brands can go for financial gains, Japanese are on top of the game. I have no idea how they managed to get the rating of 25-26 km/ltr which is no where possible with this engine. How come the newspapers/magazines support their claim of lightest, most advanced diesel engine ever where it shudders the car like it's on "Vibrator Mode", it's supposed to be a car & not mobile phone. No one ever stopped them from doing so.

When a fact is heard/read 64000 times, it becomes the reality for Human mind, it's like hypnotizing. Don't know about any such medical research but this was stated in one of very high budget "Hollywood Movie" so has to be a fact. Honda will repeat that 64000 times in mind of an average buyer with all advertisements/media/journalists cum buggers & make it real. All those rubbishes like Toyota's quality resolution and bla bla is nothing but just a trance that we see/hear many times a day on hoarding/tv/fm etc etc. There is an additional point too that people with "GOOD IQ" are less likely to get hypnotized than a dumb one. I am not joking here, ask any psycologist. Being an OPEN MINDED means raising IQ.

There should be a valid procedure for all such claims, heavy penalities or even ban the product and blacklist the company. This is looting a hard working Indian buyer who saves money for a car with an Asset's vision (not just transportation). It doesn't mean that you can serve the people by only being in Army or being Prime-minister, you can do it by doing whatever you are doing, the right way. These journalists also can raise the awareness of people which is going to help them in putting their hard earned money at the right product. This is no where less important than what PM/President is doing. This is geuinely disappointing:A!!

@Enki I agree, in first time when I heard of Honda Amaze being launched, only thing that popped into my mind is "a Honda Sedan sub 4 meter ? thats almost close to the size of my Hatchback ?" :D

And to be honest, there might be good and refined diesel engines out there in market, but for the price we are paying and buying a FIAT multijet, there's nothing good available in market at that price point, no TDI, no K9K, no TDci can substitute a multijet.

PS. I am not a FIAT Fanboy praising FIAT.

    Cheers

Let someone think if he wants to, does it matter if you have researched into depth keeping an open mind?
No way other's criticism would violate the truth by a bit. Truth always tease the ignorant in his face with an irritating mesmerizing smile & doesn't need anyone's support to do so:mrgreen:. Be it car/engine or anything else.
