What is this price game from FIAT.

    Team,

    I went to Elegant Motors to install Fog lamps in my petrol active. Fog lamps installation costed Rs 1400 to one of my friend from Pune some time back. But Today I found installation cost around Rs. 4000.

    I was informed that Fiat has revised price of 5000 spare parts and price increment is till 300+ %. I think this is correct information as it came from FASC only.

    By this Fiat is back to his known high maintenance cost. :sad1

    wow 1400 , 4000 ,, when I'd enquired about it they'd quoted 2500 ... why the price difference across regions . I guess we'll have to send an email to parts help and find out . btw any news about central locking

    I think its not region bases. I was also told that cost is around Rs 1400 when I asked around 1 month back in Delhi.

    Price are revised on 8th July 2010.

    I feel its a very disappointing step by Fiat India. Such a huge price incremented is not at all a positive move.

    Can someone call TASC & check price of Linea Emotion Pack front lower bumper grill (smaller one between fog lamps). Its Chrome/ Silver color grill for Emotion pack. When I called on 6-7th July'10 & checked prices at Fortune, Powai, I got a quote of Rs. 750/- after confirming twice that the price is for Chrome/Silver grill for Emotion Pack. On 10th July'10 when I actually got it changed at Wasan, I was charged Rs. 1388/-. I asked about it at Wasan & got reply that Rs. 750/- might be for black grill of Active.

    I too have experienced the price difference between regions. When i painted my front grills black, i was quoted Rs. 3000 +tax but later when i quoted that another BHPian had painted for Rs. 2000 at Concorde, Bangalore, they charged me Rs. 2000.

    Similarly i have seen price difference in bumpers & bonnet between Chennai, B'lore & Cochin.
    I always thought this is because of differential tax.

    300% price increase is definetely disappointing and negative move from FIAT.

    Ah man!! This is ridiculous. I just told somebody that spares for Fiat cars are dirt cheap. Need to be careful with what I say henceforth.

    for the left fog grill price is Rs 2250 and for right fog grill 168Rs ....

    Yes you have read it right. Reason for this all left hand side spare parts are imported "Made in Turkey"

    LHS parts costlier than RHS side since they are imported?

    Is this a kind of a joke? or is there some disconnect in the information.

    I really hope that there is disconnect in the information, else nothing can be more ridiculous than this on Fiat's part.
