FIAT has to work hard on various forums,
    1. Improve plastic quality, rattling issues and major failure of parts for new cars
    2. Advt aggressively in every media (print/TV/radio) consistently, innovatively.
    3. Dedicated and loyal staff to push FIAT sales at showrooms, help customers who comes for service
    4. Availibility of spares quickly in time
    5. See the outside car market and act accordingly. Give offers/discounts etc.
    6. Bring 02 new models 1.small car below 3 L 2. SUV at about 10-12L
    7. Starting dedicated FIAT Service Centers at least in Tier-I cities where FIAT is improving sales.
    8. Good relations with all media to coniteously focus on FIAT activities in India.
    9. Awareness to general Indian buyer about huge FIAT operations across the world.
  2. Advt. Suggestion Failed !

During our discussion about how to improve sales of Fiat Cars.

Most of the team members suggested to do Advt on TV etc.

Fiat started advt on TV as well as they started "offer" which is some thing new (Petrol - Diesel)& innovative too, but sales figures for July month dropped by averagely around 40%. For sales team 40% is too much in spite of heavily invested in TV advt. (Till now getting sales without TV advt.)

If the sales figure catch this path for further, I hope you can understand well, what happens next !

So Advt. suggestion failed, even innovative offer too failed.

So members, you pl suggest now what Fiat should do to increase the sales.

    My suggestion:

    1. Open Fiat Spare Shop in State Capitals one by one.

There are several common factors which even the competitors are lacking like the poor quality of plastics, poor service (Especially in rural areas) etc. But what is the core reason that people are still hesitating to buy FIATS ? I think FIAT can start an opinion poll and concentrate on the factors which most people say. No car in this segment is 100 % perfect and FIAT which is much much better than competitors is still finding it hard to sell good numbers. It's hard to change the general perception of people until & unless they bring out some innovative or some practical solution whereby people will start thinking Ok FIAT is a good option. I am saying this from a common man's perception and not technical.

spare parts shops helps only the small economy car owners . a premium car like linea owner will never care to go in look out of nuts and bolts for his car.

i have seen sales executive stammer when a guy said "90hp does not sound worth 10 lakh presently, i will see "

what is urgently required is quality experience at showrooms and demo.

that comes when the brand have,
a flagship model with serious contents like
    120bhp diesel heart,premium interiors,
first class power delivery- (no question, people see 0-100 timing as intoxicating as heavenly wine though nobody dare to drink it.)
class leading ergonomics- sethji's like luxury more than steering feel and brakes..
sadly our good old linea ticks neither.
if fiat want to rise from fading into oblivion then somethings has to be done.

i think Fiat shud start few Service Stations for all Multijet engines. Fiat, Tata, Maruti & GM cars shud be serviced here, atleast in technical(engine) aspect. they are the producers of MJDs. it will be a wonderful thing to co-exist with Fiat Caffes.

But , Mjd engine are mostly trouble free.other than regular servicing they do not bother much.
What fiat has to address is silly niggles like kat kat ,krrr ,krr ,sounds and squeaking from very second day of purchase. and consistent ASS.

Additionally more performance and premium feel from top end models. 0-100 timings of 15 secs for 90bhp car is history in present age.

They should improve the buying experience from Dealership.

Punto 90HP is my second Punto, I already owned 1.2 Emotion Punto. While buying both these Puntos the buying experience was not good.

I bought so called flagship model of FIAT, Punto 90HP & the buying experience from Dealer (Read Bandit Auto) was pathetic than buying experience of 1.2 Emotion Punto.

These people does not even care for their customers. They have Chalata Hai Attitude. which is shameless.

with ever growing of every car manufacturer on the famed Multijet engines, Fiat India shud make it sure that its cars are serviced at these manufacturer's service stations also. just imagine if a Punto can be serviced at Maruti service stations nation wide, it wud huge for FIAL.

Multijet is the new mantra for auto industry and FIAL shud make full advantage of that.

That would be great thing for fiat owners but would give negative returns to manufacturer.
