What FIAT needs to do to sell more

    I am not sure if Ferrari name can be used to promote Fiat brand.
    Similar claims can be made by Tata as well.. using Jaguar and Land Rover as they are part of the Tata Group right?

    Roy..what you said is right..many car's don't use their parent brand name. But why ?? . For eg when some new movie is about to release they announce it by saying from the makers of ....., from the director of ... etc etc..Could there be a legal side to it ??

    An aspect for FIAT car sales that one should not is - The metros is where FIAT sells. The tier 2 and Tier 3 cities the sales would be far lesser than the Tier 1 cities. Somebody from FIAT should analyze this information to identify ways of improving sales in the Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The sales will definitely improve.

    For god sake, screw the interiors better to keep the critics silent. Get the Linea interiors to the Punto and the numbers are bound to only increase. Keep a keen eye on the suppliers for the faulty parts (read as plastic items). Get rid of those suppliers with repeated history of poor quality. Train the shop floor people to screw things better. And do not follow the QC of TATA for god's sake. Get your own QC done right from the assembly line itself.

    The frustration part is the Complacency on the part of FIAT and keep mentioning in the press release that they are pretty happy with the numbers.

    tata-fiat dealership should offer incredible buy back offers. probably it may increase resale value and raise interest among vfm seekers.

    Fiat India does not have a clear marketing or promotion strategy then nothing can help in increasing the sales.I wonder what has been the benefit of using consultancy of accenture,presently if they are not going to advertise or market their products heavily then nothing will work for increasing the monthly sales

    Ferrari has tie up with Shreyans Group in INDIA. Shreyans Group has tie up with lots of international AUTO Brands. Ferrari will be sold in exclusive showroom.

    The only thing which I think is Marketing your product like Volkswagen doing.
    FIAT needs to do campaigning about the stable partnership with TATA so that people can rely on the existence of the company in INDIA throughout, everybody says FIAT has bad after sales service. We know that its has improved because we are the owners but everybody should know that FIAT now has better service then VW and more centers then VW in INDIA.

    Punto has far more better features then SWIFT which pulled me up while buying, FIAT should use that as a tool while marketing.

  9. Is Fiat noticed 1st time buyers feedback ? What they say and inquire about the Fiat Products? Worries before Fiat product acquired by them, how many convinced with the answers and brought Fiat products.

    If Fiat act on feedback, definitely they will get better numbers in short span.
