    Hello TFI'ians,

I am Diganta, based out of Bangalore and a marketer by profession.

I have been driving Palio for many years now and the time have come to bring in a new car.

    As its said " Once a FIAT'ian , always a FIAT'ian" .

So, after a little R&D, have finally booked Punto Evo 1.2 Petrol Dynamic.

Looking forward to hear from you guys .

    Thanks

    Diganta

    Diganta,

Heartiest congratulations on the buy. Mind sharing the rationale for opting the 1.2 when IMHO you should have been opting 1.4 engine with all safety gears. Whats your city/highway running like?

Hi @ghodlur, Thank you for your wishes.

Yes, My running is like 99% City and Occasional Highway Drives which will be like once in a month or so. Moreover, for those longer road trips, I have more or less decided to rent out self drive cars from Zoom Car or so. This prevents me from the hassle of maintainence after coming back from the trip and my car is ready at my disposal for me for my city running.

I wished to go for 1.3 Diesel but budget was also a constraint here. I have failed to understand why Fiat has not introduced safety gears in the mid variant even.

If 1.3 was on priority, then you could have gone with Punto Pure as well. It should be priced around 1.2 evo dynamic I guess. Also, given that you have owned a Fiat before, i assume that you would be well versed with the highway road manners of a Fiat. So even if its 1.2, you can very well take it on the highway and ghats. Its just that at times you will have to plan an overtaking.

Hi @Turbothinghy, Yes, I did checked for Punto Pure, but wifey didn't like the interiors of it & hence Evo Dynamic was the choice at last

Doesn't the punto pure share interiors with evo ? Am I missing something here ?
