    Hi,

I would like to install ICE in my Linea Dynamic Edition.

Yesterday visited Motorsounds in Mulund and Raj the owner quoted me as follows

    1. Pioneer 4290 HU Rs. 6500
    2. JVC Amp 4Channel Rs. 6000
    3. Harman Components (Infiniti) 2 Sets @ Rs. 7500 per set.
    4. Wiring & Installation Rs. 2200

    Total Rs. 29700

    +Rs. 3000 for 2Din JVC HU

Do you think this configuration is good or should I change it. Can you people recommed me a configuration which can be upgraded in the future with Sub-Woofer. I stay in Mulund. Can you recommend me a good installer in and around my place. Am a novice with regards to Audio.

    Please Help

    :anyone

Asked the same question to the owner of Moorsounds. He said that we can install a 2Din system in Linea but after some modifications. Have also read somewhere in other forum that 2 Din system can be installed in Linea Dynamic.

yeah I have seen a European Punto on the Fiatforum with 2DIN system, that guy has moved the AC unit a little bit down and put a dual din in dash HU. Will look forward to your ICE thread for installation details. One more suggestion since you are going to Infinity budget why not check MTX or other such brands also.

Would like a suggestion from you guys as I am a Novice in ICE. Please suggest the various components to be installed as my budget is Rs. 30K which is stretchable if purchased one component at a time depending on the availability of moolah.

Please Help me guys as driving without music is getting on my nerves.

Hertz components (HERTZ - DSK165)are good, I have replaced my stock speakers with these, it rocks with the original HU.

Would like an HU which will be useful when i upgrade or add sub woofer to the setup. Also will run the sub on the same amp which will be installed currently as am not interested in installing a seperate mono block just for the sub.

    Hi carfreak,

In my opinion, the HU is fairly good. I think that it has SD card facility. So you can out in a large capacity SDHD card and then let the music play for ever. The sound is also quite good.

If you are planning on a sub, or even planning on playing bass heavy music, do damping for all four doors. It will make a big difference. For all four doors, it will cost approx 6k.

As regards speakers; with your budget you can get good brands. Brands I will recommend are: Focal, MTX, & Bull. Hertz sounds good. But their lower end uses paper cones with foam surround (not good for longevity). If you can audition the speakers, it is a must. Do so with your choice of music. Different speakers reproduce different types of music differently. So, let your ears decide.

Last point is that in my opinion, put compos in the front and co-axials in the rear. This will give you a better 'soundstage'. It will also cut down costs a bit and cater for your damping.

    Regards

    Johnny
