Hello everybody,

I wanted to buy car by 9L to 12L.The cars which i shortlisted are Fiat Punto 90HP,Nissan Sunny XV Diesel,Hyundai Fluidic Verna 1.6 Diesel SX and SX(O),VW Vento Highline TDI,Skoda Rapid TDI Elegance,Fiat Linea 1.3 Diesel Emotion,Ford Fiesta 1.5 Diesel Titanium+ and Fiat Linea T-JET+ 2012.

My running is about 2500 Kilo meters per month and i use the car everyday.

Both P and D and Hatch and Sedan.

 

If you are ok with a Petrol Sedan, look no further than Linea TJet+. It's a no brainer decision actually.

 

Hence the car is used by my father.

 

Go for Linea or Punto MJD90HP. They are now VFM. Tjet being a petrol may not be advisable considering your monthly running requirement.
If FE is not a problem there is a huge gap between Tjet and rest of the cars. Tjet is the choice. After Fiat Ford will be best drivers car. But it is overpriced.If safety is considered
Skoda is my choice after Fiat even I will choose vento after rapid. I haven't driven any Nissan car so cannot command on it but know one thing that the Renault diesel engine is the best in terms of turbo lag. First chose the cars satisfying your priorities and test drive and select. Please note that Linea and Punto are not designed for signal to signal racing, but designed with considering the mixture of city and highway running. So don't under estimate its capabilities(MJD) if you are test driving it in city or in a crowded roads. It is the most stable of all cars that you have mentioned in high speeds and now with added GC it is wise option to go for Linea.

 

I didnt quite follow your logic. What makes you say that TJet is NOT fuel efficient? in bumper to bumper Mumbai rush hour traffic, my TJet delivers 9.5-10.5 kmpl with 100% AC. And I'm not really a sedate driver too! And on the highway I have got results between 12.5-13.5 kmpl.

What more do you expect from a sedan this heavy?

IMHO, all sedans in city traffic would deliver between 9-11 kmpl. Forget the ARAI figures, let's talk real world yaar!

Very confused soul I am .

since you are running approx 2K km per month , it will be wise to choose a diesel .

again decide between hatch / sedan . In some thread you mentioned that mostly it will be used in citi traffic , if i am not wrong .. In that case i will suggest a hatch .. again it is ur call ..
