no atul it was not a burning smell but it smelled of some bad chemical or gas. i always try to squeeze out every drop of fuel when i travel with family, and never rev hard or cross 90. but the max i have got so far is mid displaying 16. thats 14.something in real world. and i really go easy on the pedal. while some owners have managed 17+ when they drive carefully

as mentioned somewhere in my earlier posts that my co driver seat had gone out of shape and leans backwards from the lumbar support. the problem has been brought to notice to fiat and they have finally approved a new seat for my car. all this after a month and the seat is still to be ordered and delivered so am expecting another month from now. the store guy told me that the seats cost 40k
  5. Karan about FE I've too never managed a consistent 17 although for brief periods i've had FE as high as 26.Why don't you keep MID in Ic mode and try to adjust driving style to extract maximum FE.

i always drive with the IC on when i want to squeeze the litre of petrol. but never great results with ac on. two days back i got an average of 21.2 for 130kms and settled for 19.6 after 300kms without the ac as it was chilling outside. but this is achieved after driving constantly under 80.

shattered the drivers side rear view mirror. a cow's horn hit the mirror at the speed of 80 and the next thing i see is the shattered mirror got stuck between the side window and the rubber piping. didn't stop and continued driving as i was so upset. after a few kms i gave it a second glance and found that the outer cover of the mirror is also missing. this was alarming as replacing that would be trouble cos of color. stopped and drove back to the incident spot and saw the cover lying at the side of the road and most surprisingly in one piece. fixed the outer cover there and then as the mirror was looking ugly and we all know HOW CONSCIOUS WE ALL ARE ABOUT OUR LINEA. the mirror shattered but stuck together like laminated glass. even the glass was easy to fix as it was push type. replacement cost for the glass is 380rs.

Good that you got the back cover. I had a similar incident when a cycle wala pops the mirror right out of the casing and shattered it :(.
Got it replaced @ 179 at the service center, looks like it is costlier for the linea.
