    HI All,

I am planning to visit Trimbakeshwar Temple (Nashik) with my family and would like advice from people who has visited earlier or who stays nearby Nashik to suggest me on the below points:

    1. Train from Delhi to Nashik ? (Less time taking)
    2. Place to halt - Nashik or Trimbak (good and clean hotel)
    3. If in trimbak then which hotel and if in Nashik then which hotel ? ( Ease to nearest railway station)
    4. Any specific travel agency or Taxi (Regarding safety)
    4. Need to do Pooja over there and so what suitable time and day to visit ?
    5. Which Pandit or Purohit to choose to do the said pooja?
    6. How much time for darshan and aarti over there?

Any other input apart from the above is also welcome.

    Kindly suggest!!!!!

For starters check this site. http://trimbakeshwar.in/

Depending upon the time reqd for the pooja, you can opt to stay either at Trimbakeshwar or at Nashik. Nashik would definitely have better hotel options. if staying at Nashik, you can hire a vehicle for a day to visit the temple and perform the pooja's. The website mentioned does have details of the priest, accommodation details etc

    Hi,

There are many good hotels in Nashik, and Trimbakeshwar which is around 35 kms away is just a 35-40 minute drive :)

I would say best place to stay in Trimbakeshwar is the Gajanan Maharaj Ashram. See links below -

You cannot book online though, so you got to call and enquire. It is very reasonable and good food (veg) too.

If in Nasik, there are many options.

    IBIS is good -

    Ginger is also ok -

    Wish you a happy journey.

    Cheers

For regular darshan, avoid Mondays as temple is crowded.
You should also visit the Bramhagiri mountains near the temple - starting point of Godavari river - around 800 steps, and palanquin ride is available for the elders. A must visit place.

You will find many pandits near the temple shrine, you can engage any one of them I guess.

    Forgot to mention,
I normally travel by Punjab Mail between NSK & DEL. Quite convenient.

Well Triambak is one of my Fav Temples and I often visit since it's just a Few hrs drive for me :).

Anyway if You're only going to visit Triambak then I suggest to stay at Triambak itself. I usually stay at a Hotel called Warunase it's on the main road near the temple but just outside the crowded parts, walking distance from the Temple. It's a cozy place with nothing flashy and quite economical.

Other things you can easily find there in the temple itself it's not a very crowded temple unless it's some auspicious occasion.
