    I have the following doubts

While using the contents of other websites text as well as image Is it allowed to paste/upload it here with proper link to parent source. Does it violate the copyright?

Please share if you have any more points regarding how to use outside data in our post without violating copy rights and any similar thoughts

As long as the content is available in the public domain - meaning in websites accessible to the general web user, without any kind of payment - and as long as due credits are given to the original creator of the content, I guess it is OK. For example, we quote people from their speeches, we quote media articles about current affairs, we quote from articles on websites, we post pictures from websites, we post videos from youtube, we even quote from posts on other forums. All of these are acceptable, as long as we give credit to the source.

However, the following would definitely be in violation:

    • Copying and posting content, without giving credit to the source, in an attempt to make it look like one's own creation
    • Copying and posting content from sources, where there is an explicit copyright notification, prohibiting the same without written consent
    • Copying and posting content from sources that require a paid subscription to access
