I also want to upgrade my tyres to 185/70 R14. But before that I want to know side effects like hard steering, lower millage, lower pickup etc. Also, what is the possibility of tyre touch to body while turn the steering fully?

Those guys, whose punto's shoes has been upgraded to 185/70 R14. Please reply to my queries.

Upgrading to 185/70 shouldn't have any issues. This is the perfect upgrade from 165/80.
Yoko A-drive make more VFM money in this size.

Replacement for Stock Tyre in Linea

Its time for me to look at replacing my Stock GoodYear GT3 Tyres. Have done 42000km with great grip and overall performance. Except Road noise no other negatives with the Reliable GoodYears. :clap

Now, i am planning to put new tyres and am also conidering other brands :

    1. Michelin - Have used in my previous car but think its got good smooth feel but wears out fast . Need long-running tyres.
    2. Bridgestone - Potenza , Turenza ....Think they are good.
    3. Yokohama - No love . but is it worth considering ?
    4. Goodyear - Tried and tested . Reliable.

Friends - Kindly give your inputs and share your experience for me to make a better choice, :confused

btw ..i plan no experimentation with Tyre /Rim upsizing (atleast at the moment)

I would recommend Yoko C drives.
They are good on dry and wet surface and low on road noise too.

michelins have soft rubber. so they wear out quick but provide amazing grips especially on wet roads. goodyears can be compared to bridgestones. both are very good. no comments on yoko.

its better you stick to the tyre/rim sizes. they are just perfect. i would have said you should upgrade if fiat would have given punny typres like swift/dezire

If GT3 are noisy. Then go for Goodyear DuraPlus. Less noise & same peformance.

I've seen my friend's (username- Bones) tyres. Very low on road noise, excellent grip and feedback. They are some brand called "Champiro GTX" ::T

I like Yokohama over Michelins because of faster wear of Michelins.
