An amazing link to compare tyre sizes:
Hey friends, went to SP Road yesterday and enquired about tyre upgrade.
Yoko A drives 14" - Quoted 3950.
Buyback price for JK - Rs 1950.
I have asked him to look for any Linea rims so that I can upgrade to 15" tyre.
Primary reason to upsize - Ground clearance, Secondary - Grip.
My Concern -
Will my warranty be affected by upgrading tyre?
What size should I take to increase GC and still be in warranty?
Can I increase GC by using 14" exisitng rim?
Please Please Please help!!!
You can get 15 inch 98 pcd alloys from HR Alloys. I would suggest XM1+ in place of Yoko in the 14 inchers. But 15 inchers it good if the alloys are shod with 195/60*15 for OEM spec or 195/65*15 to increase the ground clearance by about 3 mm.
With regard to warranty, talk to your friendly advisor and keep him informed and this should take care of the warranty unless the SA is hell bent on keeping the vehicle stock
Can any one help me in suggesting me for tyre up gradation:
I got my car with R14 jktyres and now i am planning to get them replaced.
Which one is gud MRF, Bridgestone,Micheline in R14. I am looking for some broad tyres. can anyone suggest me the same.
Other query is regarding the Alloy wheels, i have heard that R15 alloys wheels are not sucessfull with 98 pd's.
Can anyone suggest me something in Hyderabad location.
I am planning to sell out my Continental CPC2 195 65 R15 and get Turanza or Primacy LC if I get a good price. PM me if you are interested. I have paid 4800/- when buying it and it has run 9000km now. Reason for changing :
1. Stiffer ride
2. Lesser grip
Above reasons are compared to the stock B250, many here think otherwise, but this is my personal opinion.
Michelin xm1+(185/70/14) is the best choice and after that the yokohama a-drive(185/70/14).
15" alloys are a perfect upgrade to the GP, and 98 pcd is the best option available with HR, yongle and few other brands.
Harmony & chaos
The primacy lc will cost u 5500/-(each) and its thr best choice u can make at buying a tyre in this range and size (195/60/15)
Harmony & chaos
During the time of delivery how do i check the tyres are new or a used ones??? Please help me out.
Thank you in advance
I think you have to trust your eyes.
I do not think any showroom will swap the OEM tyres and will give you old tyres.
On a lighter note, they are not that hot moving property any way.
I think this got discussed in some other thread. I decided to go for Michelin Primacy LC (HP is anyway not readily available). AFAIK, Yoko's A/S drives are cheaper to Mich?
