    Hi,

I want to change original tyres but confused about the upgrade. I am punto Emotion model 2011.

    1) Should i keep the stock tyre size same? 165/80/R14?
    2) What are the benefits of upsizing it to 185/70/R14? Will it reduce GC?

Budget is bit of constraint i dont want to spend more than 20K on this.

Also can anyone recommend good dealer in pune?

    Thanks,
    Abhi

Upgrading to 185/70 makes looks Punto better, 165/80 is too thin. Also it will enhance the handling.
There will be marginal (5mm dia) reduction, but actually 185/70 matches with Emotion Pack size of 195/60 R15.

Gurus I have similar query as abhishek. My Linea is currently running on original set of Goodyear's. I have Linea 1.4 emotion pk 2010 model. Almost covered 38K till now.
    Following are my priorities.
    1. I would prefer silent cabin with less road/tyre noise.
    2. I wont be doing a lot of highway trips.
    3. Planning to stick with OEM recommended 195/60 R15 size

It seems that Aceleres and 3ST are good alterantives. Can you guys suggest which one is better pick.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

    Thanks.

    Both are excellent choice.
3ST is more silent, comfortable, but little pricey.
Accelere on other had is all round tyre. You can also look on Alnac 4G.

If budget is not a contraint, go for 3ST, or choose Apollo.

Budget is surely a constraint here :D
I will check Alnac too. Again thanks for the reply.

    guys,

I have zeroed down to 185/70/R14 now after reading reviews.

But again after reading reviews i have confused which tyre to buy. can you suggest on that. i am listing my requirement and driving conditions.

I drive in city occasionally on short trips near pune. But i love to drive on high speeds have average speed on highways is 110 and have clocked 150.
Also twice or thrice in year i travel to Gujarat(highway drive) around 600KMS. I havent faced any issues with default JK tornado in any regards.

So my preference would be tyre which are good on highways(safety), noise is not a big concern as i dont have issues with JK.
i have asked for quote 185/70 and below are some of the options suggested by vendors.

    1) MRF ZLO: 4300
    2) XM2: 4750.
    3) Bridgestone my02: yet to receive
    4) Appolo accelere: yet to receive
    5) Yoko A drive: yet to receive

    Thanks,
    Abhi

    Guys,
After looking at tyres I am considering below 2 options

    1. XM2: 4500
    2. Protenza G3: 4500
    3. Tauranza AR20: 4400
For XM-02 dealer told that its not longer available.
Kindly provide your inputs to finalize from above 2 option.

I have chosen 195/60/R15 Michelin Primacy SRT, INR 6000/- per piece, for Linea. Entirely new experience. Used Primacy LC earlier, but SRT is completely different and new.
    Complete satisfaction  :D

And on the other Linea got 205/60/R16, Pirelli P7, INR 7500/- per piece. An equally good tire to SRT in terms or drive and comfort, not much time has passed, so cant say about long term usage.

Michelins are tried and tested now. Very good experience.
