I am using Yokohama AVS DB V550. The wet n dry grip is very good. Even the noise is low. I have crossed 25k on them. Lately I have noticed the noise has increased a lot at high speeds. Overall it's a good choice. VFM.

    This upgrade is highly recommended.
There might be some minor change in fuel consumption. Driving comfort should improve.
No noticeable difference in ground clearance.
I don't have experience with either of the mentioned tyres. Personally I would pick Bridgestone.

    Vj,
Third brand bcoz in future i will change all to Earth as all the 4 tires have done more than 40k kms.Currently runninhlg put of spare wheel
    Kiran,
At max i can use only 3 different brand i.e. Front axle,Rear axle and spare,i never faced any issue as per technical white papers about different brands.Yes Earth 1 was a thought and as Kdar mentioned not available, hence Avs Db it will be again.

I'll give you another new options, Apollo Vredestein. Hurricanes got these recently, but he didn't post any reviews so far.

I would strongly recommend you to buy the Falkens. Somehow the centre ribs on earth ones are in such a way that water wont evacuate. They are solid ribs.

I was at a tyre shop to fix a puncture, who happens to be an exclusive Bridgestone dealer. He told that MY 02 might be discontinued. As per him, its a slow moving model and hence the move. If this is true, then one of my options is out of the window.

Ganges, awaiting info from you about MY02 future :D

Planning to go for new shoes. Thinking of Yoko A drive or Db series. Only these two are available in 185/70/14.

You won't get avs db in 185/70/14 size. You can look at Yoko A drives, Michelin XM2, bridgestone my 02 or turanza and ZLO from MRF

Then there are cheaper JK tyres and MRF ones too.
