Hi all, I did a bit of research online and my query now is can i change the tyres on spare wheel to the alloyed one and use it as a replacement. i read some where that spare wheel is not meant for long usage and high speed.

    Hi All,

Finally ended up getting Primacy 3ST for my car. For the past 10 years I have used Apollo (Amazer,Acellere) Goodyear (NCT5), Yokohama C drives, Michelin XM1+. All these tyres are good in their own way, but this is first time I have experienced and understood what are silent tyres :).

I think you are the first to get he P3ST in TFI. Do provide a review of your experience with this tyre.

What is the opinion about Bridgestone Turanza AR10 tyres?
I had to pick up 2 of them for my linea yesterday as 2 of my accelere tire with 40k odo was at end of life. Was on a highway run to bangalore and couldn't get a good price. Had picked the tires from Vadakanchery @ Rs 5850 per tire.

Now i have 2 AR10s on the for the front wheels and 2 Acceleres for the back.

Another TFIian is on second set of Primacy Lc. His primacy LC lasted for 43K kms and now he has got 3ST on his ride. No problem what so ever. I am currently running on XM2. As of now completely satisfied with my choice. These tyres will help you to understand what pin drop silence is :) :).

I got Falken Sincera 835 for my punto.
upgraded from the pathetic JK Tornados to 195/60 R15 on Linea Rims.
Falken provides an amazing unconditional warranty, even on sidewall tear.

Is the warranty from the tyre dealer/distributor or from the manufacturer.

The hankook tyres I got for Linea carries distributor warranty which is more or less like having no warranty.

I just read the fine prints.
The warranty is from the manufacturer, which can be availed through any dealer.
However sidewall cut in mentioned in the exception.

My previous statement about "unconditional warranty even on sidewall cuts" was purely based on what 2 different dealers told me that they were practicing. which contradicts with what is written on the card.

So not to provide any false information, I hereby change my statement.

Falkens now come with official india warranty of five years. They carry ISI mark too.

Lot depends on your relations with the tyre dealer too. I have seen that Michelins are the hardest nuts to crack when it comes to warranty replacement.

I have got one tyre replaced which got torn of due to our drivers mistake.

Lets call it as goodwill warranty like Fiat ;)
