@Pradeepms If you go wider then you need to lower the profile as well or you can also upgrade your rims .
It will definitely reduce your ground clearance.

205/60 will touch the inner fender on full load conditions IMO , 205/55/r16 is the right size for Linea AFAIK

thanks, I do already have 205/55 R16, but was looking out for other good options in terms of increasing the comfort. May be will scrap the stock GoodYear and will try Bridgestone (My02) or Michellins.

my Fiat Linea Classic runs on 175/70 R14 Stock steel wheels.
given that the Linea Emotion has 205/55 R16 Stock, is it advisable to put in the OEM windmill 16in alloys from the Emotion ?
the car dimensions are the same so is it advisable to swap Linea classic 14in steel wheels to Linea Emotion's 16in windmill alloys ?

due to pinch cut in two front stock GoodYear tyres bubbles developed in my fiat linea t jet emotion after running only 5000 kms with in one year. third tyre also showed bubble. because of fear of bursting, I changed all the four tyres with Ceat tyres (205/55/r16)@ Rs. 5550. The pictures I have posted in another thread (LINEA FACELIFT 2014 - TEST DRIVE AND REVIEW, page 78). The tyre dealer has suggested that 205/60/r16 will be better, it will have little more air cushion in the tyres to prevent damage. Any opinion of members is welcome.

While he is correct that air cushion is more, recommend you to change to OEM size only (205/55/r16). Any small change in tyre size will effect the ride and handling of the car, it may interfere with the wheel wells as well. Technically, warranty is void on suspension and steering components. For regular road use better stick to OEM size but obviously better rubber like Michelin/Yokohama/continental (manufactured in the last 6 months). This profile is a decently sized tyre. There should be no reason to complain ;)
