Yesterday I had been to Ramkay Fiat,Chennai. I was told that Alloy Wheels are currently on offer and current cost is 5000 rs for R15 Alloy. Is it advisable to move to Fiat Alloy ?

5000 is a great price. I am using 15" Linea steel rims so would still recommend the steel rims instead.

For 5000, you can have 5 Linea steel rims, and each wheel cap costs 350/-

    Advantages of steel rims:
    - Cheaper. Replacement wont cost a bomb.
    - One can experiment with colours. You can not paint the alloy and then move back to stock colour just like that. But since the wheel cap costs just 350, it is much easier to play with colours of the wheels.

Can you please help me to check the life of the tyres i.e. whether can drive for some more kms. or else needs replacement. How this can be judged

What tyres are you using and how much have they done already?

It is really hard to judge without seeing. As a rule change tyres when 2mm or so of tread is left in the tyres.

Hi Friends, I had been to BM Lal, Chennai and inquired the price of 195/60 R15 tyres.

    Michelin Primacy 3ST - 6100

    Bridgestone Potenza - RE88 - 5400

Is the cost OK, or else do we get more discounts some where ?

I am told that nitrogen filling will be done free :) No more freebies !!!!

Try to see if they reduce cost, if you opt-out of filling Nitrogen :) (its a waste).
Otherwise price looks ok, do check changemytyre or tyresonwheels, just to compare the prices. Also, check at-least one other tyre shop to verify.

Thanks for the response. I have checked the price in one of the Bridgestone Select store and its the same as quote by BM Lal.

Moreover is it advisable to go in for Bridgestone tyres or Yokohoma tyres ?
