Trivandrum-Bangalore-Hampi-Goa-JogFalls-BekalFort-Trivandrum

Reason:
a. One of my friend is back from US for vacation
b. One of my friend is out of a Chinese jail in Bangalore. It almost a year since he saw the Sun.
c. Yet another friend who just cant wait to get out of bachelor-ship
c. I want to have a sneak into my bachelor days.

We started planning with a Himalayan trip but it looks like this is not the right time to be there. As was the practice from college days I have to do the planning part. So guys help me out, I have 2 plans in mind, and we have 6 days to spare.

Starting from Thrissur because I have 2 functions to attend, one Wayanad and then Thrissur. Strictly day time drives only.

Plan 1: Thrissur-Bangalore-Mumbai-Goa-Mangalore-Trivandrum
Day1 - Thrissur to Bangalore
Day2 - Bangalore to Mumbai - 1. NH4? 2. Possible?
Day3 - Mumbai - 1. Must see in Mumbai ?
Day4 - Mumbai to Goa - 1.Coastal route? 2. Night attraction in Goa?
Day5 - 1/2 day in Goa, Goa to Mangalore - 1. Which all places to visit in Goa?
Day6 - Mangalore to TVM.

Plan2: Thrissur-Mangalore-Goa-Banglaore-Chennai-Trivandrum
Day1 - Thrissur to Mangalore
Day2 - Mangalore to St. Mary's Islands, Karnataka to Goa
OR
Day2 - Mangalore to Jog Falls to Goa
Day3 - Goa.
Day4 - Goa to Hampi to Banglore
Day5 - Bangalore to Nandi Hills to Chennai
Day6 - Chennai to Trivandrum

I am totally blank about Plan1, I would like some inputs from people familiar with this route and places
Suggestions for Plan2 welcome, better 6 day plans are also invited. ::T

How about Thrissur-Mangalore-Goa-Mumbai-Pune-Belgaum-Hubli-Mangalore-Thrissur ?

I am leaving out distance from Thrissur to Mangalore as i have no idea about distance.

Mangalore to Goa : 2.5 hours(You can visit Udupi/Murdeshwar/Gokarn (Om Beach)/Bhatkal etc)
Goa to Mumbai : 9 hours(Amboli Ghat Amit(VP) might be able to help you here)
Mumbai to Pune : 2.5 hours(Mumbaikars/Punekari folks please throw light)
Pune to Belgaum via Kolhapur : 5 hours( I think whole road is NH ) Kolhapur-Belgaum road is treat i drove continuously around 140kmph last time i was on that route
Belgaum to Hubli : 2 hours
Hubli to Mangalore : 5.5 hours(Jog Falls on this road)

Mangalore to Goa distance of 366km in 2.5hrs !! O man, I am no rally driver.
Mumbai looks like very tight, my friends need a vacation and they are not interested in spending the entire time in car (I disagree :lol: )
It would be great if you can help us in identifying a good hotel in Goa. I will get in touch with you once the dates are finalized.

Thanks VP, yes my friends too felt it might me too hectic to include Mumbai in this schedule, so decided against it. So Plan 2 is on. I will check up with CSM, never been in a beach side resort.

22nd : Thrissur to Bangalore
23rd: Bangalore to Goa Via Hampi
24th: Goa
25th: Goa to Kasargode via Jog falls and Bekal fort
26th Kasargode to Trivandrum

Got some windshield washer and checked the tyre pressure. Need to check the fluids and tool kit tomorrow. I need to buy a box of Aquafina too (cant risk the drinking water). Oh, I missed the PUC, it expired almost 3 months back !!

Its raining, can I sanction 1 week chutti for the rain GODs :wink: . A temple visit is also part of habit before any travel. Ok guys, will update soon.
