    Hi Kunal

Write one mail to fiat about this and also check your service booklet about timing chain replacement at service intervel column. Have they mentioned there compulsorily replacement at 60k?

The 'tuk tuk' noise, is this always present or only at cold start?
    Does it increase with RPM?

It is now always. after timing chain broken there are lot of other stuffs to be check and replaced like Valve, Piston, Rocker-arm etc.

The left option is having complete discussion with fiat company and also put few examples of other cars which runs lac kms without demanding such repaires like dezire or any other tata, ford diesel machine and request them to minimize your expenses as much they can. But don't expect a lot as mentioned in other posts about their poor customer support. And If you can plan for new vehicle then it will great as while selling this one you will recover half of the expected expenses.

If it's always then most probably its the connecting rod bearing :(
That is why the ASC advised for overhaul.

    Check this vid:

Is the noise similar to this?

Fiat have once again revised timing chain replacement interval for 90bhp MJD now its 90,000 kms for cars manufactured after march 2015(all cars after engine no 574788).
A new chain is used PVD(Physical vapour deposition) timing chain part no 55261264, it costs three times the price of normal chain.
All cars using old chain(engine no before 574788) would get this updated chain at next scheduled replacement (60k kms) after which their replacement interval too would be 90,000 kms.
Hope its the end of timing chain woes for 90 BHP MJD owners.

That's some good and bad news made.
While you have definitely spread the smiles with that 90k interval information, however the price seems to be dampening the joy to a large extant.
Let's see as I am sure more information would eventually flow in.
    Thanks a lot for sharing,

    Cheers,
    Pradeep.

Is it just the chain, or the complete timing kit including the tensioner that is updated?
