I recently did my 1.5L service from Fiat Service center Calicut. Parts and service costs becoming more and more expensive.

The engine overhauling was done at 80K and now there's sound of timing chain.

Is there any reliable 3rd part service centre/technician in or around Calicut or Aluva area for Fiat Linea/Punto?

Saw many videos on using Maruti parts for replacement, anybody got any experience? Also is it worth getting the parts from FASS or 99rpm?

If you can come down to Aluva, drive 15km more and get your car serviced at Turin Motors, Padivattom (opposite old Hyson Fiat Service Centre, Kochi). The technicians are ex-Hyson FASS. Manoj - 9995616638.

There are some aftermarket parts used by some instead of Fiat OEM parts.
You may find them at boodmo. 99rpm sells OEM parts only.

For 75bhp Punto, Maruti Swift parts may fit too (please consult your mechanic). I have known people using Tata Manza parts in their Fiats for timing chain.

MJP parts are cheaper than Fiat and Tata. INA timing chain will be more cheaper than the MJP, INA being the OEM.
I've used MJP parts for the timing chain, and recently used the Tata parts for the clutch kit (215mm dia one ment for Zest/Manza).

Thank you for the info. I have been to the Hyson service during Covid. So will checkout on my next Aluva trip

BTW I was able to get the timing chain replaced along with lots of other work including 2 synchronizer replacement and clutch fixing. Ended up with a bill of around 27k but work seems to be neat.

    Thank you.

Good that the work has been completed.
Where did you get that done?
