    Not sure how many of you know this guy called "The Menstrual Man". He is the genius of this century from the south india.

    Shame on me that i did not know about him till today where in my company invited him for a motivational talk. After watching his video, his story, his ambitions, his ideology. I truly consider him as a Super Hero.

    Don't know if this is similar or same as TED talks, but this man is really a great soul and deserves much more recognition esp. in India. There is Mechai Viravaidya of Thailand, who is known for spreading and actively working on family planning and AIDS prevention. Don't know for sure but perhaps the flip side is being called "Mr. Condom" or even condoms being called as Mechais over there.

    Pondy Bazaar is set for further makeover. I couldn't believe this.

    The Chennai Corporation has finalised a blueprint for the proposed pedestrian plaza at Pondy Bazaar.

    The pedestrian zone would be 1.4-km-long from the Panagal Park junction to Anna Salai.

    A senior official of the Corporation said the plaza modelled on Rambla in Spain and Times Square of the U.S. was being executed as part of the Chennai Public Spaces Project. Under this project, Pondy Bazaar, a highly-commercialised zone with huge traffic and few facilities for the shoppers, would be converted into a pedestrian-friendly road.

    The plaza would feature wide footpaths with coloured tiles and exclusive cycle track, even while maintaining the greenery already available.

    Friends, need a help.
    My sis-in-law's wedding is coming and I am planning to get the wedding cards printed from Bangalore. I am looking for two cards, one priced below 10 rs per card and one priced below 15 rs per card, including printing and the bulk volume will be between 1000 to 1200 for 10 rs card and around 300 for 15 rs card.

    I am planning to visit the Sulthanpet area (near to chickepet) but I do not know which are the trusted shops in the area or who have good verity of designs at best prices. Any pointers in this regard will be really helpful.

    PS: Kindly point me to any other area \ printers also, if you think I will get good designs at affordable prices.

    @anoop,
    Don't know how it is in Bangalore, but in Mumbai wholesale markets the rates you quoted are achievable. Remember, some cards depending on older designs or sometimes minor manufacturing defects could be sold for at much as 60% discount over MRP. So do select the card very carefully. I think card sellers also offer printing services. It is the matter to be printed that needs careful proof reading before you send it for print. Perhaps a senior person with eye for detail will help in this regard. Also, I think you might need to be bit more flexible with your budget to get a decent yet elegant design. The prices you quoted can be good for too very simplistic design (which is also okay :)) depending on your budget restrictions.

    Bangalore guys guide further please.. :)

    @anoop,

    I would say all shops are trusted only, you can see most of them filled always. Better to spend time on weekend, search for designs in different shops. Each shop will have its own fancy designs. Choose from the one which you like, bargain hard.
