Vehicles in the new Telangana state to get 'TS' number plates. But, how did they arrive with the letter 'S' here? Shouldn't it be 'TG' or 'TA' or 'TL'?

TS = Telangana State.
^^Exactly the same thing came to my mind.
And to mine also.
But they are moronic for rejecting TG. "We want a state, no wait that's not enough, we will choose TS or TG for ourselves"..
This logic seems not acceptable as no other state in India follows this rule in my opinion.
some follow but in hindi.
also tamil nadu goes a step ahead
'Nadu' i guess means 'country'
Even there, the official name of the state would 'XXX Pradesh'. Here the state name is Telangana and not Telangana State.
Once they are all devoid of all these power play gimmicks, and should this country survive a civil war of some kind, they might wanna consider calling it USI (United States of India). :

Ramjn, if only politicians were as logical as the aam janata.
I thought these decisions should be taken after consulting and approval from center. Who knows what's the policy on this.
Wow. Now, we are switching over to a different topic.
One political party in TN had this in their manifesto in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections. Interestingly, they aligned with the current ruling party at the centre.
