I doubt whether they will give it without fixing it there. For example we cannot buy engine oil and fill it ourself.

Though the Sparco wiper are a bit costly, they are dual direction wipers i.e they wipe effectively during both up and down movement. Normal wipers effectively wipe unidirectional. This info I learnt from Bosch engineer and hope the info is correct. Bosch Aero twin also of this variety and equally expensive. I am using Aero twin for last 2 years on my Palio MJD with good results. .

@Thyagu thanx for the info. I think punto OEM wipers are also dual / bidirectional as they have the same design as aero. Yes Bosch Aero, Sparco , Hella all comes almost in the same range. But I am not sure if Aero has blades for Punto ( I searched a lot & couldnt find a match). If it lasts for two years, then it is worth the extra money you spend. You are getting safety, reliability & durability at the same time.

For next change I will not go for OEM wipers. The rear wiper again fell down today when I pulled it for cleaning. The problem is that the new piece is not getting fixed tightly.

Not at least in Bangalore. I always keep a spare 1 liter can of engine oil & coolant in my car. I used to get it easily from Concorde and KHT over the counter.

Cinju being a qualified automobile engineer and a techie i think you should explain how you had got the sparco wipers installed on your car. It would benefit many. :)

Rubber part peeled off from the front left hand side wiper blade... got it changed @ TASS on last friday... Costed Rs.617 & No labor was charged as I directly went to the store @ TASS and purchased it from there itself... initially store manager denied to give it over the counter and asked me to follow the process as he can give it, if its mentioned on the job-card only but then service supervisor intervene and he requested store manager to produce a chalan from the store itself without a Job-Card so time was saved and money too i guess in this case as they did not charge me labor... If others were charged Rs.250 labor for fitting this blade than I am Lucky for sure here....

And yeah it is not compulsory to buy the set of 2 as I did purchase only front Left Hand side wiper blade... did not check which make is it? but I did check the older one but forgot the brand mentioned on it but it was some German make... I will check which make is the new one and which make was the old one and will update...

I hope this info is useful to others...

I also had the same issue in left hand side wiper. Got both wipers changed though the driver side was ready to last more.

I've Linea & I can say that Linea Wipers are top-notch and cleans the glass without any trace of water.

Here is an easy, workaround to ensure that the rear wiper balde doesn't fall off. Sorry for the poor drawing skills.
