I'm getting my Linea 1.3MJD EP this weekend and looking for nice looking seat covers. Haute Car Zone in Chennai quoted about 36K for .9 mm and 42K for 1.2 mm including door trims. This looks way expensive. Does anyone know good places around Chennai for PU and leather combination nice fit? Is it possible to get a nice fit on top of stock covers?

Doing leather cover in Chennai would be expensive. Bangalore has got lot of cheaper options with better quality too.

I am doing leather seats for my Linea this Saturday in Bangalore. Doing 1.5mm Scandinavian Beige Leather. Got attractive deal for the same. PM me if you need more details.

I too got similar quote from Haute Car Zone. This is way too expensive.

  3. Friends,
I am planning to put seat covers on my 90hp red punto. But a little confused because I dont want to remove the existing seat covers or brutally stitch over the existing ones.
    My requirements are
1.I dont want to spoil my existing seat covers .

    2. I dont mind changing seat covers after 2 -3 years ( if it gets loose) and hence dont want to spend huge money on the same.

    3. I dont want a art leather seat covers beacuse in summer it will burn me in chennai heat .

    4. Is there any cloth material that is specifically used to make seat covers ?

Not sure whether this is a weired requirement . If so pardon me .. :)

I think fabric seats are the way to go - I too prefer fabric, but will leave the stock seats uncovered until I feel the need for genuine leather.
For what I know from the net,
    1) a brand called "Elegant" has a wide range in fabric - google for it. I've them seen a few in shops, but for the Punto, they told me I'll need to place an order.
    2) some shop, I think the name is "jeewajee" or "mehra" makes custom fabric seat covers - I'm not sure though...

I recently got the leather seats done from Karlsson, Bangalore. The quality, fit and finish of the work was very good. I am completely satisfied with the work they have done.

I was planning for this upholstery for quite some time and finally decided to get this done from Karlsson. Mr. Sajith from Karlsson explained clearly on the options available and suggested for the 1.5 mm Scandinavian Leather. I decided on the Biege. The work was done on 12th November and completed in a day.

    Here are few snaps.

Hi Bala, They told me that door handles, arm rests, etc had to be done with pure leather. So dint want to spend that extra cost :)
