Thank you @Deepak . it is funny that you asked this question. I kept looking for either side pull but haven't encountered any issue till now. The steering is perfectly straight till date.

An update to the ownership so far. The experience has been a wow till date. Most important point to highlight are the stability on the road and superb NVH levels. We have been making a number of round trips that are 200 kms. Road conditions have been varying but the trip to remember was the one yesterday. We made a trip to a camping site around 70 kms from Hyderabad. The road to our destination was exactly congruent to that of a serrated knife's edge. The road literally zig zagged all the way. Over half the way had bad and poorly finished roads. We were 4 adults and 4 children bringing the payload to about 300 kilos.

I had my apprehensions but chose to see how things turn out. My doubts were quickly dispelled as the Avvy turned corners with aplomb. Overtaking was a breeze but I had to work the 4th and 5th carefully to stay within 2700 rpm. Turns were made at 80 km/hr and it just kept going. The control that this car has inspite of its 205 mm GC is just amazing.

The scariest moment came when a couple of testosterone laden college youth were riding in front of us trying to overtake a truck. Having been a college student myself once, I had an inkling of what they might do. But testosterone is testosterone. In all their unpredictability, the youth swerved to the complete right to enter their hidden college entrance without any indication whatsoever; just as we followed them thinking they were about to overtake. It was then that we understood the meaning of ABS. With only 20 feet between us, I slammed the brakes with the truck on our left, another truck coming opposite and these idiotic human byproducts swerving to the right. The Avvy held its composure so well that we just moved behind the truck again without even a tyre squeal. Just complete control.

We stopped on the side of the road to allow my hands to finish their shaking and continued on. The rest of the journey was without any more fuss. The last stretch was through broken tarmac and huge potholes. The Avvy was perfect for these types of village roads.

This is a great car. It does everything so well. The 3 rear seat belts were useful in keeping everyone harnessed. The best part is, the roll on times of the car in its sweet spot at 1700 rpm comes from a jewel of a workhorse. No regrets whatsoever.

    Affecting little anecdote/testimonial that.

The funny thing is the Avventura sort of looks 'testosterone'-ey too, but in the best i.e., composed way?;)

A tough yet harmonic, rock-music-al, composition from Fiat, then?

    cheers

Good to know that Avvy is serving your purpose well.. It's looking absolutely fab in the pics with greens in the backdrop. Have started enving Avvy owners now :p

I agree, more like a mini Hulk stance or a wolverine. Definitely not like Twilight ;)

And I ogle at the the Puntos that pass by. Someday if and when I have sufficient funds, I will pick up a used black GP or Evo and remap the hell out of that ECU. The reduction of 65 kilos from the Avvy will surely help it fly on the roads. Truthfully, the envy is mutual.

    What a beauty!!!
Waiting to lay my hands on one very soon (hopefully by next week).

My love for FIAT has grown leaps and bounds over a few months (thanks to TFI).

As @Vidhyashankar Kannan always says FIAT is really a lazy company. If not why would it resist bringing the FIAT 500 beauty to the indian market.

@Vidhyashankar Kannan After seeing your car pics and the ad above, I just love the Exotica Red. There is a WOW factor associated with this red. Guess I will go ahead and book it in Exotica red rather than choosing orange.

There is no point in bringing such a nice and expensive car to India when there's no market for it. It is pure driving pleasure without anything else like transporting 5 adults, big boot space, etc. And it will be 15 lakhs and above. Only the yuppies can buy it here. Same reason Ford doesn't bring the Escort RS here its 185 bhp motor and perfect 5 seating capacity. Indians can neither appreciate nor afford these cars.

@Whencut86 : That is flattering to hear. Thank you for the compliment. However, I would request that you see the car once in the flesh before deciding. Red is a difficult color to capture by most camera sensors. The white and bronzo tan look like the photos. But red looks different. And red needs a little more maintenance to keep that wow look going. Just letting you know. :angelic:
