CaseNewHolland+Iveco is no longer part of the FIAT Group-->FCA, although its ceo and chairman are Sergio Marchionne and John Elkann/Agnelli.

Here is another example, alongwith Magneti Marellli's amt business, of how FCA/fiat group can and already is making money in India, and could/will make more, if permitted to. i.e, another instance of what can be invested and achieved INSTEAD of wasting further investments on a doomed FIAT brand in the PV mass market.

I have often wondered why Fiat/NewHolland does not team up with tata motors, the dominant player in CV-s but NOT in tractors and agricultural machinery and the large lucrative exports thereof (low cost models): why does tata motors leave this lucrative line of 'commercial vehicle' business to Mahindra and TVS/TAFE remains a mystery, given the large surplus capacity Tata Motors has available: in this example for eg, new Holland wouldn't need the new land with a new road and new electricity sub-station and happy land-selling 'farmers' etc, since they could just plug right into Tata's available capacities?

PS: Tata-JLR would, in its present Tata-Mistry-conflict and declined profitability etc etc stage, do very well to heed the Marchionne call for 'consolidation' in the global auto industry and 'do a BIG strategic, GLOBAL' deal with FCA+CaseNewHollandIveco!

Magneti Marelli (a large global, fully owned, high quality and high capability, large-enough-profit subsidiary of FCA) also has, apart from the big and booming further AMT business (for tata and Maruti) also a large specialised lighting business JV in India: supplying Ford (including for exports), Maruti for the Vitara brezza, Renault for the facelifted Duster, for the upcoming Jeep, etc.)

New Holland Tractors India, the segment leader in higher powered tractors in India leads in after sales service satisfaction in india, a recent J D Power India survey and study claims.

NH tractors was until about 2010 a part of the former-FIAT-group-plus-Chrysler-Corp. Then CaseNewHolland and Iveco tractors, trucks, buses and agricultural+construction machines were spunoff into a seperate-from-FCA company, CNH Industrial, albeit still with Sergio Marchionne as ceo, and owned-in-majority and controlled by John Elkann/Agnelli-family's holding and investment company EXOR.
