Tata to expand Fiat range in India

    Just came across an article in ET about Tata planning to expand Fiat's range in India.

    - The partners are exloring oppurutunities in the commercial vehicle segment.

    - They are exploring more Fiat cars for India. Even developing a new platfrom.

    - Fiat is looking to improve processes and sales network within the existing system.

    - They are also studying the existing products and constantly improving quality & exploring new markets.

    Only Fiat cars ? Why not Chrysler cars ?

    I think Chrysler makes some decent cars. I had the Chrysler Sebring for some time and it was a pretty good car.

    I guess the new platform is for the small car.

    Great News..!! Finally the White Elephant has woken up :)

    The New Small car which is due for Showcasing in 2012 can turnaround the tables for FIAT, just they need to be more Cautious in choosing the Engines for it. They SHOULD bring in the Award Winning Two Cylinder MultiAir Engine for the new car, that will give an edge over the Competition as well, it has the potential to become our "National Engine" for Small Petrol Cars. And, one request to them dont mess up with the Gear Ratios this time for God Sake :)

    FIAT should bring in good small cars like facelifted Palio and UNO .. i am still in love with my old car UNO .... 1.7 litre diesel engine ... just WOW

    The new small car is slated to be launched in 2012. And the engine will be 1000CC.
