T-Jet New Clutch - Still Hard

    Hi

    I recently got my Jet clutch changed.
    Fiat team replaced clutch assembly only.

    What i expected with change was softness in clutch like a new car one... But, it was missing. Went for check with Fiat. They are now saying Cylinder bearing block & fry wheel need to be changed which they earlier said were ok & needn't be changed...

    Cost is around 20k for both... Should i go for change or continue with little hard clutch.

    hard clutch will give bad leg pain when you travel in excess of 100 km.

    if you can live it with that then fine

    Ashish how old is your car and what's the odo reading.?

    If it is under warranty push the release bearing for warranty

    Normally if u changing clutch u need to resurface the fly wheel(incase the teeth are not worn out) if it not getting replaced.Generally hard clutch is due to bad pressure plate.
    Try bleeding of clutch and clutch slave cylinder

    The T-Jet's release bearing and slave cylinder are a single unit. Replacement of this component will require the entire tranny to be brought down, same as replacing clutch. So, it is logical to replace release bearing/slave cylinder and clutch in one go. Was this done? If this was done and the clutch is still hard, try bleeding. If that does not help, then get the master cylinder replaced.

    If that was not done, then you are looking at a labour intensive fix.
