Agree !!! Also, in case of Punto only the front portion was prone to scrape, but on Figo people say that the rear portion also scrapes with 4 people onboard.

One good thing about the new suspension setup on Linea and Punto is that it would never scrape and you can drive by on any terrain with full load, not sure if Ford has raised it for Figo !!

  2. 1st You have confusion between Petrol / Diesel.

I must say if it is new car, buy Diesel one. don't consider Petrol, its big difference while filling the Tank. I am not considering your uses.

If you like Punto than it must be Diesel / MJD only.

But my suggestion is to go temp on Used Car for few months / year, than buy Brand New Car. M Brand used car easily available at various places, and service wise no issue. If you like Fiat, you can find Palio Petrol in dirt cheap price, like use it then throw it.

    All the best.

Modern Day Diesel engines are peppy & and not make hole in your pocket for maintainance compare to Petrol. Be it Fiat's multijet or VW's TDI.

And below 1000 km is not a problem.

We are in FIAT forum, and this is FIAT lovers forum not FIAT sponsored forum. So We always explained what correct step Fiat is doing with wrong too.

FIAT 1.4 is not peppyer as Tjet. If You ask me, will always suggest Honda petrol engines (as Tjet not in Punto). Honda's Petrol engine are famous like MJD for engine perspective (petrol-diesel scenario) . Other car parameter depends on you.

    Hi Raj,
In my opinion, ford's spares are much more costlier than fiat's. You think thoroughly, and I am sure after breakup from Tata, Fiat is really taking care for After Sales Service. Looking at monthly run, I will suggest a petrol one for you. Hope this helps.
