I had spent 800 and the finish is very bad. In my case they didn't remove the steering. Will they fit it again properly?

  3. Hi Ravi,

one doubt is whether the gear knob can be removed in punto for doing hand stich. I have been quoted 7500 rs from Pensee leathers.

6500 Rs for Seat covers in PU Leather
1000 Rs for Pure Leather [Italian leather]

He has doubt in doing the geer knob

^^ yes the knob can be removed easily from the lever by turning in in anticlockwise direction.

Sandeep they have done a wonderful job. I recently did leather wrapping on my steering & the fit & finish was not at all good.Especially the area where the spokes start .The stitching job was good.If I make an issue to get it re-done, the poor fellow who has done this might have to pay for it from his pocket. So I left it.

Anyone got a proper fitting steering cover for a Linea\Punto Epk?,steering wheel with airbag.
I took it to a reknowned upholstery guy in Delhi, and these guys told they cant remove the steering wheel.
This is when there was a Merc E class and a BMW 5 Series standing next to me with their steering wheels removed-DUH

STeering can be easily removed...and leather hand stitching can be done..

Maverick in B'lore does this..I have ordered one for me..Cost around 1.2 k only for steering...

  8. I went to Pensee leather Bangalore to do my seat cover last weekend. They were saying it is not possible to do hand stitching on 2012 Punto. Also the owner was saying the the leather will cover the whole gear knob. Can someone give some clarification on this ?

Even after talking to Mr Sathish, I understand the cap, which has marking of gear numbers, is not removable in new Puntos (or may be Lineas). In the older version, it used to come out.

Grandure:: I liked the leather wrap on the steering wheel. I have a similar one but its sticked with white thread.
I also noticed that you have got the side panels stitched .. This is something I always wanted.

My Idea was to stitch the entire dashboard with that leather and the reasons are 2 folds.
1.) it will make the car look a lot cleaner and polished
2.) it will get rid of the cheap quality plastics being used on a beautiful car.
Do you know any place in blr where I can get that done? and the cost
