This government is very much inspired by FIAT. How???? They can only talk about new things, but can not do them. Thats the similarity between UPA and Fiat.. well said

+1 both runs by coalition, a main party and weak allies for support.

  3. As Indians who are casting their vote, we should be bothered. It's not whether the govt HAS the guts to implement such blunders. It's that the ones who were voted and selected and sit in the parliament and cabinet CAN think of such ideas, that we should be bothered about. at least they surely consider such foolish ideas. So it simply means these guys are not worthy of their seats. We, should be concerned about this.

If there can be party for religion, cast etc why cant there be party for tax payers. All India tax payers party. That party can form a government without a coalition.

What nonsense! Don't these ministers have any brains? How many times are they going to shoot themselves in the foot?!

If the reason for taxing diesel car's is that they are more polluting then heavy vehicles should be taxed still higher. The pathetically maintained trucks are clearly more polluting then private vehicles that are normally maintained immaculately. Besides, the engine tech in diesel car's is way more advanced and hence less polluting then the engine in heavy vechicles.

If the comparo is with petrol cars then logically they should subsidize the lesser polluting petrol cars!

You cannot put a blanket rule that all diesel car's are polluting. If pollution is going to be the defining factor for taxation then government should follow the UK policy where I believe every car has a different tax slab based on their emission levels.

And yes, how about taxing your oil companies? Each and every manufacturer will take about 15 mins to upgrade their diesel engines to Euro V, it is YOUR oil companies that keep delaying implementation of stricter emission norms saying they are not ready with better quality fuel which will help comply with stricter emission norms.

If the government want more money for their own lavish expenses then they don't have to give this kind of silly reasons. They may ask directly. no need to tell environment issues n all....they can spend 90laks just for snacks n can spend corers on making toilets...
    Go ahead.
