Amogh, what did you choose?
I chose "Yes". I have no problem if somebody posts Speeding pics.
I Voted Yes
Since its upto the individual the way its taken. I believe TFI members are more responsible, speeding pics wouldn't cause someone to hit the road madly or try something which someone not confident about
Where is the NOTA
lol! Good one. But with the way NOTA is treated it is better not to have it
Voted :- Yes.
Reason :- Why should i do the speed as posted by an "X" Tfian ? Why not to do the speed as an "Y" Tfian ?
"Be Responsible and Own the road"
I opted for Yes.
I don't see a point what could go wrong with that post.
Be responsible on road. Judge the condition around and take decision.
I assume that a person driving a FIAT is mature enough to understand these things. And moreover the members of this forum are the ones who are the lovers of FIAT and its vehicles. Each one us know the capacities of our vehicles and if we are to explore our vehicles beyond their limits, it is an individual's decision and risk. And for those who are encouraged by these pics and posts cannot be stopped by banning the posts on TFI. They will move to other forums or means of information and will try it out as per their wish.
But the positive thing that can happen on TFI and probably no other forum is educating such experimenters on the ill effects of what they are doing.
I am yet to see a single convincing reason of why exactly these pics should be allowed. Status quo is that they are not. We need to argue whether that needs to change and provide reasons for the same.
Saying "people should be mature to decide for themselves" , "if somebody decides to speed after seeing the pics it is their decision" are not positive arguments supporting why the ban should be lifted.
To me , a hypothetical positive reason why the ban should be lifted is something like "posting these pictures will help people become better drivers or become more knowledgable about their cars or help diagnose common issues better etc. etc. " - stuff which the ban is currently preventing.
PS : To me the relevant question is "should the ban be lifted" . "Should we allow/not allow.." would have been relevant had the ban not there been in the first place.
Such high speed pics and clips available in net, films like dhoim or fast & furious also needs to be banned.
TFI can not regulated internet so why even think about such in the forum.
This similar to selectively banning few porn sites by google but,it is just an impossible task.
