@sujith - thnx. I have not an iota of idea. I just stumbled upon these pics. But lot of possibility exists in wht you said.

@royj - it is in italy place called LINGOTTO, turino.

BTW FIAT = Fabricana Italiano Automobilli Turino.

At first when I saw the pic I thought it was a track made for testing 4*4 Jeep's as the first image has 3 jeeps running on the track.

The tracks are nicely engineered. Thanks for sharing

 

4th Picture, might be this is where they test Ferrari F1 cars secretly(do to the ban in testing).

 

As I read on the wikipedia, the test facility is no longer in use. The pic is the beam column arrangement of the same test track as seen underneath.
