Ya this is the Grand Cherokee.
2014 Jeep Cherokee photos revealed
Official pictures of the upcoming 2014 Cherokee has been released by the company. Now they get set to officially launch the vehicle at the 2013 New York International Auto Show, at the end of March 2013.This new Cherokee will take the place of current Jeep Liberty SUV and is speculated at being an attention grabber right at the outset, even with the awkward looking front. To be produced from Chrysler Group’s Toledo Assembly Plant in Ohio, 2014 Cherokee is scheduled to be seen in company dealer showrooms in third quarter of 2013.
2014 Jeep Cherokee is expected to be seen with a new 3.2 liter V6 engine based on Chrysler 3.6 liter Pentastar engine. The new midsized SUV will come in with enhanced fuel efficiency and better on road driving dynamics way above the outgoing model. It will be built on Dodge Dart CUSW platform. Images revealed show 2014 Cherokee to possess a new curved grille design, a shapelier hood and sleek headlights. Extensive plastic body cladding adds to vehicle’s aggressive appearance while best in class capabilities are promised, enhanced 45% over the current Cherokee which is on its way out.
Jeep brand will arrive in India later this year. It will be launched under Fiat India and sold as CBU’s. Fiat India has already begun testing of Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Jeep Wrangler on India roads. More models of Jeep will be launched at a later stage.
New product launches, along with Exclusive Dealers across so many cities, are the best news to have come from Fiat in 2013.:up
Looks like exciting times ahead...
The Grand Cherokee is the one I would like to buy. It's a full size SUV and totally different from all the SUV's on the road today. BUT, does Fiat & JEEP have it in them to fight against the big 3? I keep seeing advertisement's from Audi about the Q5 which they are offering with a down payment of 5 lakhs and EMI of about Rs.86,000. That's VERY affordable. JEEP will have to come out with unique marketing and financing schemes to get sales. If they are going to smugly sit in their swanky dealership's thinking they are doing a favour on car buyer's then they should be prepared to see their car's sitting in the same swanky dealership all through the year.
The good news is that JEEP is American and I hope JEEP will make Fiat American rather then them turning into Italians!
I think they should have a Sticker at the Rear Glass saying (Chrysler-Fiat)..
So more n more people on the streets will be aware of the strength of the Giant.
That car has a permanent registration number, so it is most likely privately owned. Someone must have imported as CBU and sure wouldn't care much about promoting any company.
This is the same car captured in SCOOP thread. This car is exported as a CBU and owned by FIAT. All such FIAT cars are registered in the name of FIAT Factory at Ranjangaon. Hence they carry a MH-12 plate. If you see any car that is owned by FIAT it is usually registered in Pune.
@ kirenh, nice spotting and capture :up One thing about GC is its road presence because of its sheer size! Its difficult to go unnoticed Its pretty evident from the pic as well. All other vehicles looks tiny!
