Congrats Ashya... :up
Finally I became the owner of a wonderful machine, the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500.
The color is Stone, that is matt black.
Also I have decided to keep the unicorn. It is now resting at Dombivili
Some photos from the D-Day.
Congratulations and best wishes, rajeev_pillai. I wish you and your bird infinite miles with smiles.
Well like many here some days back I too bought a Enfield.... But unlike most I bought the Continental GT. . And boy does it fly.
I am facing a strange issue in my RE TBTS 500. The bike misfires and i can hear loud farts from the silencer. I updated the Silencer to Goldstar glasswool and started noticing this issue. Shakil (AEW Goldstar owner) says that this is not because of the silencer change but because of the spark plugs. He also mentioned that misfiring due to spark plugs is not noticible in stock silencer and becomes more evident in after market ones.
Guys, even I shall join the Bullet owner club on 21st Mar 2015. Finally a long time due dream coming true, booked Standard Bullet 500 (Forrest Green color). Eagerly waiting to get hands on this beast. On similar thread, sold off my long time companion Honda Unicorn which served me really well for many years.
Congrats in advance. Ride safe..ride long
My Unicorn is 06 model and still in very good condition.
Also my wife is very much attached to that bike. So decided to keep that.
My unicorn was the very first model 04',
My wife and I are so attached to it... We call it Dani boy...
After 10 years, it is still going great and I miss it so much. Coz its with my dad now. Me and my Sis gifted my dad a Ray Z, but he said he always wanted to drive my unicorn (of course he bought that for me), so I swapped it for the ray...
It was a great chap...
I did a 450kms ride on my RE TBTS 500 from Pune to Surat. touched 130kmph on empty 6 lane stretch between Ghodbunder and Surat.
This thing has its own good hangover
