    Hello,

When I bought my Fiat Punto in 2010, I did not get a Road tax Receipt from Rama Motors. Since, I have moved to my native place and they have now introduced a rule that outstation vehicles need to be registered within the State, else a fine will be imposed. I can get the car registered again in my state.

How can I claim for the road tax which was paid at the time of buying the car, as I don't have a receipt? I believe Rama Motors has closed and I will not be able to get hold of a copy of the receipt.

I just have a original invoice of the car and a debit note (Registration Charges).

Please let me know the way forward.

    Thanks,

    Mohit

You would'nt require the original receipt if you have the Original RC for claiming the refund. Apply for the refund with a copy of all the documents. You would require a NOC from the RTO and a proof that the vehicle is registered in the new state.
