    Hello FIAT family!

Though I seem to have joined this forum quite late (couple of years, I would say), I have to say, I have learned quite a lot from going through the posts & various threads, so thank you for that!

I recently got the switchable maps installed on my Fiat Avventura UC by Wolf Moto Performance, Eranakulam and boy-oh-boy! what a tectonic change this has been! I was really thinking back to what I have missed these 90K kms on my chariot UC!

I drove from Chennai to Eranakulam (though Joseph from Wolf Moto informed that the team will be visiting Chennai in some time) to be able to compare the driving experience, on longer trips, before and after the remapping process

Drive to Wolf Moto, well, not much to write home about - pretty much a lot of effort to get a little traction on overtaking and utilizing large vacant strips of highway between Ulundurpet and Coimbatore, especially Ulundurpet-Salem stretch, which has a lot of good roads and less traffic, but sluggish with the UC's weight & acceleration at higher speeds. To add to this, the speed restriction on Kerala highways meant, we were focused on a mileage-improving drive

Then, onto Wolf Moto, where Atul from the team was available to take care of the remapping process - pretty much first flash brought on the switchable maps, but had a little niggle with the display on the temperature gauge. Rajeev was available on call to understand the problem and troubleshoot offline. We went for a test drive and on a Saturday afternoon near the Lulu Mall - you can imagine, we did not get even a single chance to really open the throttle, which was disappointing! However, on returning Atul flashed the maps again and provided useful info around the process, fuel preference, and mechanical modification options (for Stage 2 & above) available on the next level, before I got the "Wolf'd" stickers and bid adieu to Atul & Wolf Moto! Of course, with a promise to connect again for feedback on the experience

For reference: This was the configuration that was installed on the UC, with the switch display on the temperature gauge
    1. Map 1 - City drive (pointer at 40%)
    2. Map 2 - City-highway hybrid (pointer at the optimum temp)
    3. Map 3 - Highway drive (pointer at 80%)
    4. Map 4 - Stock (pointer at 0%)

On the way back, since I was travelling with my teenage son, we decided to complete a circuit - instead of driving back through Coimbatore - we drove to Trivandrum, spent an evening at Lulu Mall with friends and from there onto Chennai (Chennai-Coimbatore-Eranakulam-Trivandrum-Chennai) the following morning

THE RETURN DRIVE: Well, it's no wonder so many of us have opted for Wolf Moto's switchable maps - what a contrasting drive from and back to Chennai! I literally have no words for the ocean of change I was experiencing driving the UC now! Atul had set the map for the last one - the highway map, so we could test how it worked. We started from Trivandrum at 6:15 AM and with one breakfast stop for 30 mins, we reached Madurai by 10:45 AM and Trichy before 12:30 PM. In comparison, my last trip to Trivandrum took, in total, more than 13 hours! To now have covered more than 60% of the distance in ~5.5 hours - this was beyond exciting & amazing!

I hadn't considered even the remotest possibility that I could gain such acceleration and thrust on the 5th gear. As we sped past more powerful engines with such comfort and covered large distances with ease - I realized what we had been missing all these years! My son had a constant grin on his face and by the time, we reached near Tindivanam, he was nonchalant about the overtaking maneuvers. The engine sounded a lot smoother and refined, even at high speeds (especially missing was the grunting noise as we reach top speeds). The car itself felt a lot, lot lighter and springy. And, we realized quickly enough that the suspension needed upgrading to manage this (now) beast (next on the list)

On the checklist were also any observations on higher emission, which was absent and mileage - which was a little lower, but considering I had tested pushing the top speed quite a bit between Nagercoil and Trichy, understandable. There were no other niggles or issues on the way back

Indeed, it did seem like a beast had been unleashed, an unrelenting beast, who was undaunted by anything challenging on his path and cutting through obstacles like a Katana!

Now, having tested the highway map, since I'll be driving within Chennai, mostly on OMR, for the next few weeks/month - I have switched on the first map, the city one, to test for improved mileage with slightly higher power in the lower gears and will post an update once done

I would like to thank all the previous contributors on this topic as reading through the other posts really helped me understand the process in detail and decide to go ahead with the remapping exercise, one I am more than 100% sure, I'll never regret

As always, happy to answer any questions or clarify or just to hear back from some of you with comments & observations!

I was also under the same understanding, but clarified with both Atul & Sreekanth at Wolf that it is a total of 4 maps only. Actually, only 3 if you keep the stock map aside

No, they were 5 in total.
    Stock + 4 maps.
No idea if they changed them. I have recently updated maps in 2022 Nov. Still have 5 maps.
