Hey Guys, today i got delivery of my brand new Punto Sport!!!!!!:

I just have a weird query.. I just want to know from fellow drivers the speed of your Punto 90 HP in 5th gear at 2000 RPM. Today I was driving my car around and i felt that the car is lacking some speed @ 2000 RPM. I think i am wrong but just want to confirm it.

Congrats aviator for your new punto... welcome to TFI...
  4. Is it possible to change the final cog achieve little higher speeds at lower RPM? is it practical?

  5. @ramjn what should be the idling rpm range??i get 800-900 rpm
  6. Same here. 800-900 RPM

Someone was talking about Rev Limiters elsewhere. So here it goes.

The 90 Hp does 170 at around 4200 RPM, so there didn't seem to be a rev limiter on the 90 HP atleast.

Whats is the maximum RPM that can be reached in 90 HP? In the first place is there any difference in terms of MAX RPM reachable for 90 and 76 Puntos?
  9. Are you sure, it screams above 4200 RPM. I read elsewhere in the forum saying, there is barely any steam left over 4k RPM

It think it touches 4200, but I am not sure whether it could go beyond that. If there is a limitation for 4.2K, then what is the MAX speed a Punto in India can reach? ~170?? The reason why I am mentioning "Punto in India" is that we have 5 speed gear box, IMO there should have been an extra gear to achieve more speed.

I heard from somewhere that we should not hold at 4K RPM for a long time. Is it True?
