yes, indeed sir, its a mile mucher :)

As suggested by @gpunto75, follow the proper run in process. Streching her to its limits could wait for sure.
up the engine slowly and gradually ~ say after 5k rpm
and yes, do come up with complete ownership thread with lots of pics

    cheers

Now its on 2500+ km and engine sounds is improved a lot ... Recently came back from Surat ambaji trip of around 850 km ... Fuel economy is 19.7 kmpl and on express highway both sides car On 100-150. on ghat section several times gear shifting from 5 to 1 still 19.7 I feel it's decent average. No polling issue,no unexpected sound from suspension on bed road just need to check ac blower and main fan fitting mainly for mental satisfaction.
Any advice for first service? I hope it will be there in next month only...

generally first service doesn't include too much.
just keep the eye on SA's that they won't ROB you on the name of ac disenfection or on the exhaust coating or something;)

Reason : car barely being used.

Note : I was heading towards the fuel bunk only ;)

A Warm hello to you all !!!
hope you all guys be doing well.
    Sorry for late update.

    Trip no. #33
The much awaited punjab trip happend.
odo that time was 38k kms. changed oil before the trip. Did total 4.5k kms.
Drove non-stop for 18hrs on 2nd day. (bhiwara-amritsar). It was one hell of a drive. i had actually planned to do a detailed write up on this trip but am running out of time.

    Trip no. #34
The silvassa mega meet trip. Aah! awesome it was.

    Trip no. #35
Again to the home town rajkot.

The current odo stands at 45700 kms. Wheels were aligned in rajkot itself at around 42k kms.

Brake Pads : I am not actually liking these ones as intial bite lacks the feel. Will be reverting back to stock soon. Overall performance is just below average (just for the bite).

Tyres : I was actually expecting lot but these falkens are just average IMHO. The only reason i bought was because it has 2 year unconditional warranty, thats it as i had left pulling issue and due to that tyre wear n tear was uneven. So had no choice. Every time car hit a pothole/plastic speed braker & bang, these tyres realizes me that they are working. it wasnt there with the earliar jks i had.

    A pic from punjab trip

    Yo ! Yo ! Yo ! Everyone !
I am back with another post.:writer:.

Got wheels aligned, balanced & rotated yesterday when odo was 46.4k kms.
Last alignment was done back at 42k kms & balancing was done way @ 34 k kms while changing the tyres.
The reason i am being late in this stuff is because am very skeptical about the alignment centres/shops as had some bitter experiences before. Finally, decided to took the plunge and got it done from near by only. At first attempt there again left pulling issue resurface and steering was little off to right side. Gone back & got it corrected. Fortunately, no left pulling or whatsoever. Steering remains straingt just like arrow

    IMG_20161224_122344.jpg

Surprisingly, brake pads are still holding well;) (Usage 9k kms approx.)

    IMG_20161224_120905.jpg

Tyre depth is around 5 mm remaining while run is around 12.5k kms. i guess new tyre has 8 mm thread. if that's the case, then i guess it won't last more than 35-40 k kms overall. Although i am not at all happy with the tyres, they give thud noise every time i come across the pothole or even speed brakers.:banghead:. Moreover, they took lil bit extra time to warm up. Tyres were rotated from front to rear as opposed to infinite sign pattern used for front wheel drive cars.

    Some parting shots

The only fear now i have is RUST !!!.
I could see rusting on Hubs not sure if its normal for a car age of ~ 3 years or its due to coastal regions. Experts kindly shed some light on this.

    48,000 kms.
3 years completed few days back.
Changed air filter, late but stock original.
I actually have an habit of cleaning air filter at every 1 thousand kms. So changed it bit late.
Coated around 250 odd bucks & bought it from my hometown rajkot through authorized dealer of tata.
Will be changing oil soon as its due.
& fuel filter & AC filter is scheduled due for change in another 2k kms.

How do u clean the air filter? In the cleaning process the pores get damaged, which does more harm than any good. Looking at your cleaning interval i.e., 1k kms just thought of sharing the info.

Yes. I am aware of that buddy.
Initially , I got it cleaned from Mech. Using pressurized air but due to this I decided against it.
Now I generally tap the filter on the floor few times to get it done & believe me u will feel the difference.
