Just did the test drive of Evo MJD...Just couple of things to say..The gear ratios has been improved! Drivability in the 1st & 2nd gear is much more better :D
GC is really high & it spoils the looks but felt like driving a bigger car :)
RDC Fiat, Chennai arranged the test drive immediately but needless to say, had a lukewarm reception from the sales executive. He never seemed interested in selling the car :(
Good thing is that already 15 bookings has been done in RDC :)

Congrats Chetan!!.How much is the OTR for 90hp? Waiting period?. Any discounts or freebies offered? . I am planning for 76bhp which I'll make it next month. Any price comparison done with other dealers before the deal?

Hello Kailasmenon2000. Did you TD the 76 or the 90bhp?. Is there a taller gear ratios felt on the city driving?. What's the OTR price for 76 & 90 in Chennai?

I drove 76hp. Yes. Taller gear ratios were felt on City driving. Its much better now. Don't know why reviewers still blame it. I'll post the on road price lit of Chennai. Its much much lesser than Bangalore.

Did a small test drive inside city on this Friday, 1st gear improvement is little, till 2000 RPM it is moving easily and then it started straining. But the major change is in 2nd gear, it pulls and pulls from standstill to 2500 cleanly and after 2500-3000 I felt little strain but this is very negligible. I tried most of the time in 2nd gear and cheked this revving. now 2nd can pull cleanly till 3000 rpm like free, so Fiat worked beautifully on their biggest bashing point :). This is tested on 76 HP punto evo and comparison based on my 4 years exp on 76 hp Punto. Highway I am waiting to test but 90 hp there :).

Test drives by members on team bhp also suggest a better drive of 75 HP Punto! I am going to review it soon too. Will review the gear ratios specially.

If Fiat has really done something to improve it, is it just about ECU Mapping which can be replicated to Punto Grande or is it mechanical adjustments which is just for the EVO
