Thanks So much bro!.., Our fellow FIATian anoop has also given me the contact of some one from Auto will try and give them a buzz today see if anything positive comes out of this. Thanks again!
And Hats off to you that for taking the risk and going ahead with the CL install even before its launch. Guess you are one of the few lucky ones to have all the necessary features! :)

    Warm Regards,
    Plabon

    Hi All,

Those who are getting their Central Lock installed from FIAT need to know this. After finding out from our fellow Fiatian Anoop about the Auto Lock / Unlock ignition feature in his Active's CL , I contacted Accessory Sales Manager of Concorde Motors , Prerna Motors and the couple of guys from Auto Cop head office here in Bangalore. Now both of us share the same Autocop Unit FT1150 (from the pics anoop has posted in thread earlier) but mine does have this feature.
Now the guys at Prerna and AUTOCOP are saying that the new series of FT110 does not come with the Auto Ignition Lock/Unlock features at all. But the old ones did have this feature for a while but AUTOCOP has removed it now. So according to them those who have installed their CL say 3 months back will have the auto ignition lock/unlock feature. But not on the new ones. Can some on who has installed their CL before June this year confirm this ??
Now if I have to go with they have to say then should have had that feature since I have installed it in June but it doesn't!!

Even if its true then this is really stupid move from AUTOCOP/FIAT to remove such basic feature from this unit after providing them initially and on top of that they charge 9 K for this unit which is in my opinion is not more than 2 K!!! This is unacceptable!!

@mindspin, i got the Active's CL installed in December 2010, trust me it does not have auto ignition lock/unlock. The original CL has only lock unlock through remote with out any other features. The only advantage is that the instrument cluster shows door ajar warning for all four doors.

I got my CL installed on August 3rd, and the model number is FT1150. I think the actual case might be, the new ones have the feature enabled. If the old ones have the feature enabled, then the guys at Prerana would have told me that. According to them, the CL did not have the auto lock feature, so it was a pleasant surprise to see it in my car after I got the installation done. They did verify that the CL unit in my car is a new delivery - they did not have stocks of CL units for long time since there was some fire in the Pune warehouse. I checked my photos and I can vaguely read the date on the sticker put by Fiat on the pack as 2X-07-2011.

chethansgangoor : I was happy with my CL till I found out about auto-lock feature in the CL anoop has installed in his car. And the Autocop Guys themselves are saying that this feature was there initially and they have removed it later. I m in touch with on Mr Om Prakash from Autocop and he said he will get back to me in a day or two and also said he will try and find out if that autolock feature can be installed in my CL. I m waiting for his his call. And besides the Autocop guys also told me that they only provide the door sensors for the front two doors and sensors for the rear doors are provided locally by the dealer and they are not covered under warranty!

Ya I know about the fire in Pune wearhouse , I had to wait for the central lock for over one and half months because of that :A. But thanks bud for the info, Will update you once I hear from Mr Om Prakash!

my active's CL locks automatically after a minute or so if the key is not in the car. This doesn't happen in your car?

Guys, please post us an update if the existing unit can be "tuned" to perform additional tasks, like autolock. The blinkers wont blink if the door is open with ignition turned on :(

Also, if the horn/beeper sound can be changed let me know. The current one looks cheap, very cheap.

I have got the beeper disabled for this reason. Like it like that considering the emotion/pack variants also don't have any beeper..
