muting the beeper can be done. you need to unplug one of the wires from somewhere under the bonnet.
I have done this as I don't like that beep sound.

The pleasure is mine, varun. There are many people who have done CL from outside, but I was kind of skeptical since I could not go and see the work the installers are doing. IF you are getting it done from outside, make sure he knows that you do not have actuators and ask him how he plan to procure them.

For me, Prerana motors did not charge any installation charge - I think you can try bargaining on it with your TASS.

This most probably be the wire which goes to beeper - you can take this wire and connect to horn and you should be able to use your horn instead of the beeper.

I confirmed yesterday the auto locking feature. After turning on ignition, the car gets auto locked after few seconds. It is NOT at first break, but simply after turning on the ignition. I also noticed that when the ignition is on, if I open driver side door, the indicator blinks. Not sure what is the rationale behind this.

In the booklet which I got with CL, it states when I try to lock using remote, if any door is ajar, it will beep. But this is not happening with my CL. For me, it just locks all the door that are closed properly - no warning beeps.

I loved the unlock beep of the car in the advert, slow, manly beep, want to get my car to beep the same way

 

@chetan: thanks for confirming the beep. I too like the beep - more like a small siren - would love to have that in my car too - do let me know if you succeed to get it done.

While we are at it, can any one please confirm if the car have been locked from inside using CL, can the front passenger open the door from inside?

In my car, after the CL is engaged, the front passenger can unlock his side by pulling the lever - no need for me to disengage the CL. Is it the normal behavior?

I got AutoCop XS installed from outside in December 2009. Paid 4400 with actuators. Mine is working extremely perfect.

Features are:
1. Cabin light glows for all four doors now, when open
2. Auto lock after few seconds after ignition is on.
3. From outside, If unlocked from remote and i don't open any door for 1 minute, it locks automatically.
4. All blinkers engage if the door is open and ignition is on
5. If you open the car with key and not remote, siren engages for all four doors.
6. Reverse gear engagement results in blinkers and reverse gear horn which can be turned off from remote.

During my installation Not even a single wire was cut or tampered. They used the sockets and clips. Installed by Auto Cop Engineer and not by any accessories guy.

Actually the one that FIAT provides is also the same model AutoCop XS. The only difference in mine and OEM accessory is that the remotes look different.

Out of the features you have listed mine does not have most of them mainly 2, 3,4 and 5.I told both the Concorde's SA (while leaving my car for 1st servicing) and also the Autocop personnel (who came to my house to fix sensor issue with my CL ) about the "Ignition related auto lock" feature. They both have told me that this feature does not come with this Autocop XS CL for Active Variant!!. I m really upsent now as I have paid 9 K for this CL and it does not even have this basic feature

I also contacted Fiat Cust Care , they even told me the same!

Do you know anyone who can help me regarding this ?

I got it installed from AutoCop engineer even before FIAT launched the CL kit for Active. I have no idea what comes as a part of this kit but still my suggestion would be to reach out to Auto Cop team

they are good professionals and would correct the mistakes commited by the person who installed it at the TATA dealer place
