Punto 1.2 active

@AshHotJet9: Regarding your mileage query... i would say it gives 12-13 in city depending on your driving style and 15+ on highways... I have friends driving i10 and swift petrol and i get the best mileage among all of us in the city...
I have completed 18000 in my punto in 13 months... had few running problems during monsoons, like Power Window IC failure and AC Compressor Relay failure... that was because i have to cross the road with 3-4 feet water levels (heavy monsoon in hyderabad), got all fixed under warrantee... apart from that i have not faced any issue and its a Fiat which gets better with age... After second service i did not notice much difference but now having driven 3000+ after second service i feel that that the engine is more smooth and i prefer calling it chees-y.... I must say that if you buy a 1.2 Punto you might feel it is underpowered till 4000-5000 kms then the engine just opens up and you can enjoy driving with 3rd gear in city... takes you away from changing gears frequently like other maruti cars in traffic...

My car also giving the same figures. Also I have seen improvements after 3000Km run, It may be change in my driving style also. I used to drive light footed.

Couldn't agree more. If i drive with a light foot in the city , mileage=14+ else its 13or there about. On the highways, i generally don't get good figures like 17+. It still gives me ~14 on the highways coz I can';t drive with a light foot on the highways. One seriously doesn't realize how fast is he going if your eyes don't go to the speedo. You have to accept the fact that the car would feel sluggish sometimes. Esp while in-gear acceleration of 1st n 2nd gears. But the 3rd gear saves the day... Also, within a month, you would be able to adapt your driving style to the 1.2.

I have done almost 14k kms in the year i have had with her.... N i absolutely love it... N like you, this is my first car too...

 

My GP 1.2 Active gives 11.8 to 12.2 on city driving and 13.5 to 14.3 on highways, i am very much pleased because you feel like driving the big sedan, only when u come out you realize that its a hatch back.
