I am yet to check the on board Diagnostics with an ECU scanner. Shall update once i finish my test. Well its the trial run. Remap has been done by Petes using Diesel inside technology from UK. The first 90HP remap for a Punto by petes. 75 Hp remap has been already done and as im told.

    Does remap affect your warranty?
The alloys are one of the best that I have seen on Fiat cars.

Closer pix will be posted soon.
Remap will definetly tamper warranty. But only if u tell them it has been remapped.
I did not get as much as I expected from the map as the vgt opens only after 2500 rpm. It's that u need to drive hard to extract the perfomance. Be a racer boy and ur punto will obey. In the normal mode u won't notice any variation in power.
The 75 hp performs better with the remap as the turbo is much smaller and opens up unlike the vgt which kicks only at 2500.

The alloys are 17 inch with 7.5 J. The alloys cost me 32k. It was black and I changed the color. The s10 belongs to a friend of mine. It looks real hot in flesh

@ Nimish..how is the ride quality vis a vis the 17" alloys...must have gotten a bit bumpy/stiffer coz of a thinner sidewall... just curious to know :)

Do check this. As i contacted few tuners and they told me that they dont have a solution yet to keep the no of programming same. As soon as the service centre guys connect the ecu scanner they will immediately come to know that the ECU has been remapped. This will void warranty.

How much did petes cost you?

after being inspired by you i contacted pete's and asked for the same they say a remap would cost me 32K.
mine is a FGT and in general VGT behaves much better on a lot of accounts . So its interesting to see that you've not found much use of the remap.

Now i doubt if a remap can do any good to my FGT? Or should i pick up a tuning box.
hmmm.. so the search continues. :)

FGT performs real good as the turbo kicks at 1700 RPM. The VGT is a bigger turbo and opens only later on. So its hard to source power at lower rpms. If you are good at shifting gears then go for the VGT upgrade. So u floor hard and extract power be a racer boy which the 90 HP eagerly responds too. FGT is something which u can definetly work into as the power and performance increases and you can feel it in the city drive. I would not prefer a Tuning Box and waited for a remap to come down and i say that its no harm in doing a 75 Hp. The damages estimated are 32K for a remap.

I had been driving with 205/55 15 from the time i got my car. I upgraded to 215/45/17. I did not notice a stiffer ride to date as the punto was originally designed with the 17 inch in mind. In UK all the OE vehicles come with 17. Its the roads in india that mess up the ride and u cant blame the tires for that. Im happy with my ride as of now

At an authorized service station they could not differentiate a bearing noise and tire noise as i had personally experienced it. I wonder if they can read it on the scanner. Maybe if the scanner could speak then the guys at the service center will know. Thats the situation here in kerala. Anyways i will be giving my car for a third service soon and lets see if their scanner diagnosis detect the remap.
