Reviving and old thread. Seems none responded to the requirement of the front and side lips to be made in FRP. I would be surely interested.

Had another query which was the primary reason why i found this thread. its regarding the metal pedal. I want to get one and have finalised on two. Which of the two will fit on Punto? Also will the one with the ribber strips be better as it will have better grip than the plain aluminuim. The one with rubber strips is just Rs 100 more

 

Making the front lip in FRP will be a bad idea as many a time the front portion touches the ground and i had to get the entire lip redone and painted at the time i owned this car. The car had the pedals as the first picture and it did perform its job quite well.

I had got metal pedals fitted some time back. They are MOMO brand, and they have a 'V' pattern engraved on it for better grip. I went it for these not really for aesthetics. I find that if you are wearing rubber soled shoes (which I usually do), and if the soles are wet, they tend to slip on the stock rubber pedals. This can cause problems especially with the clutch in B2B traffic. After fitting these pedals, this problem has not come up. So, I'd say, it is worth going in for this mod.

The rubber strips will probably tend to slip if you are wearing wet rubber soled shoes. So, I will recommend a pattern that has the metal designed in a non-skid pattern.
