Premier RIO launched yesterday(2nd August) with 1.3 multijet engine named as CRDI4.
Premier has launched the Rio compact SUV with a diesel engine sourced from Fiat. The compact SUV's latest variant is priced at Rs.6.7 lakhs and is available in all showroom from August 2. The launch of the Premier Rio can be considered as a response to the growing response for SUVs in India.
But, where are the showrooms?

Humm...a patch up after a breakup between FIAT and Premier.
It seems we can see lots of mini SUV in coming years.
I am waiting for Nissan Juke or Jeep wrangler to pounce on, god knows what is their plan.
i would like to see now maruthi/suzuki calling 1.3 MJD in their WAGON-R to compete with Premier RIO
If this goes on like this shortly we will get MJD engines separately in local market. Buy any number may be buy 2 get 1 free.
Manufacturers will sell only the body + mechanicals except the engine, saying it is MJD compatible.
Something like buying a motherboard for Intel Processors and fit the processor later.
I think one day will come when FIAT will be vanished as a brand and will only be mere engine suppliers. :lol
Shubh-Shubh bolo Yaar!
