O have been observing that in 2nd gear at about1800 - 1900 rpm I findthat my car power dips and in 1 or 2 secs it comes back.
I have tried to test in other gears but I cannot claim it happens in every gear. This happens in regular soft footed driving. If I drive hard I don't sense this problem.
I cannot fully say it's happens in 2nd gear but it happen sometimes only. Anything I should be worried about?

  3. I faced this issue a couple of times in the highways and here in bangalore as well, I think this has to do with bad quality diesel..

I feel its due to a sticky EGR valve. Remember reading so somewhere.

Count me also. This problem named as ' lean misfire'
Between 1800-2000 RPM I get this problem.
Problem is more seen when I get excessive bad fuel.

This can be due to EGR valve also.

BTW this type of weired problem is detected cars after 2010.

IMO this may be due to localisation of parts to assemble MJD engine.

From 2010 Fiat has fitted Indian parts for cost cutting.
So these types of stupid problems are there.

e.g. From 2010 fiat is using sturts made by Endurance Made in India.
So many owners are complaining bumpy ride.

Cars before 2010 had sturts brand ' Copef' Made in Brazil.

Sturts of Copef made in Brazil are OEM fitting to great UNO & Palio.

I experienced this once in Tirumala. Was in 2nd gear and it was biting cold outside and I was taking an incline. This might fit into bhai's theory of lean AF mixture.

So what is the recommendation here.
Change fuel bunk , get something else done??
Surprisingly i dont find this problem always but when i do face it its rather continuous , meaning in that time frame where i face this problem once . I will continue to face it for some time and then it goes away. :(

Are you sure it was the fuel pump problem?
That's a lot of money to be spent and i really want to know that its 100% becuase of the pump. like others have put it there are many reasons for this problem.

    @ the black

I remember your car being remapped. I hope it is not related to that.
