Plans for Bandipur (1 Day) and Coorg (2 Nights)

Hi Team,
Planning for 3 Nights trip, Day 1 for Bandipur and Night stay at Mysore and then 2 Nights stay in Coorg.

1) Which route would you suggest I take?
2) What all places I can cover and must cover?
3) What the best timing for visiting bandipur tiger reserve and national park and what all can I do in Bandipur. The timing mentioned in the website says 6AM - 6PM.
4) Is it safe for a 2 years old kid to travel with in bandipur tiger reserve and national park roads?
5) Should I purchase the tickets online for bandipur tiger reserve and national park?

To reach Badipur, I would take the more scenic, less crowded Kanakapura - Malavalli road than Mysore road.

Me too watching this space for answers. I plan to go Coorg later in the year.

If you want to spot the wild animals that come out to drink water, use the early morning or the late evening slot.
During the after noon slots, you could spot some peacocks, deers, etc. Bison, tiger, elephant etc, only if you are very lucky.
They offer generic safari on minibus and jeep safari (takes a more wild, still safe, route). I have not taken jeep safari (as it was always full, trying to book from counter).

Yes. In general, they advise you to not to stop/park your vehicle, for safety. However, 1-2min break of this rule will give you great photo of your family or car with that awesome green background and a well laid road. Please do it carefully.

Your choice. If you are thinking of jeep safari, please try booking in advance.

 

Got an update. We did Coorg last weekend. 1 night stay.
First day visited Namdorling monastery, Nisarga dhama, Dubare elephant park and Raja's seat. Next day did Mandalappatti view point (this is was the best, need to hire a 4x4 vehicle) and Abbey falls before starting to come back.
Skipped Talakaveri, Iruppu falls for lack of time.
